My little one and I are 14 years apart..  99% of the time its never and issue and we don't even think about it, but that has more to do with who we are as individuals than anything else.

Status: offline 		I'm not sure what a "marked" difference is supposed to be either.  For some, it could be as little as five years.  For others, it could be twenty or more.  Master and I are 9 years, 3 months and 3 weeks different in age, with me being the older.  One of His relatives disapproves of our relationship because "the man is always supposed to be older."

Status: offline 		my Dom and i are close in age (he's 4 years my superior).  I've "dated" younger and older - age doesn't matter - it's how you "click", but I do find it nice to be within the same age range - jokes and trends one grew up with and such - but that's just an extra bonus - and it could be an extra bonus to have to explain these things...Age is nothing.

Status: offline 		There is about 13 years between my partner and myself (he is an old man ) and generally the only people who have issues with it are the ones who are envious of our "normal" relationship (whatever that means)

Status: offline 		Daddy is 53, I'm 22. While my parents dissaprove, I really don't care. Actually it works in our favor since I call him Daddy in public, most people don't even question it. Honestly, when you really click with someone, you don't think about the age difference after a while.

Status: offline 		My husband is twenty-three years older than I am.  At this point in our relationship, it's not a problem in the context of bdsm, though it does occasionally cause problems in other aspects of our life. 

When we first started dating eight years ago, I have to admit, his age terrified me.  Neither of us was intentionally looking for someone older or younger, but we clicked and felt we owed it to ourselves to give it a shot. Sure, I had a lot of thinking to do about whether he and I wanted the same things for our future - marriage, kids, etc. I wondered about how my family and friends would react. And I did question if I saw him as a father figure and if I was looking for someone to repair the damage my father did to me. I don't think that was the case, but it really skeeved me out at first when I realized he was only a few years younger than my father.

No, he's not the man I originally envisioned being with for the rest of my life, but, now, I can't imagine my life without him.

Status: offline 		I enjoy older pets less training and the older pets know where their place is. Younger ones are a bit less likely to stay even in a great situation, older pets know what the world is like and are happy to stay caged with the only concerns are on their master and the happiness to bring to him.

Status: offline 		My Dom is 23 years older then me. It isn't an issue for us at all because we love each other and are very compatible. I did enjoy it when the car salesman a few weeks ago asked if he was my dad. I had slipped and called him Daddy while we were out in the lot looking at cars. I looked that salesman straight in the eye and said, "No he is the love of my life." Then he got all embarrassed and I giggled. Daddy came back into the room and gave me the strangest look.

It must have been fate....if you believe in fate....because now I have a truly amazing, caring, sadistic, intelligent, responsible, trustworthy, unpredictable(heh), level headed, rational, balanced (the list could go on and on) Sir.
