GOP Debate: Pawlenty Prefers Coke Over Pepsi
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2011/06/13/gop_debate_pawlenty_prefers_coke_over_pepsi.html

hmm.   and then they go to "break".   everything is falling apart- and this is the prez debate?  coke or pepsi- and a commercial break?

I am glad I did not watch it.

who ever wins 2012 will continue to bush-obama policies...which are coke, and pepsi.

I watched it and it was a huge waste of time.  Nothing about their own policies or ideas, just bash bash bash...Pawlenty did not even have the courage to support his own critique of the Mormon last week.  Instead switching gears and say how Romney care or as he called it last week RommeyObama care  was against Obama, not Mitt.

At least have the courage to face off against the people when you bash them behind their backs

I expect Mr Pawlenty has been offered a place on the ticket.

LOL.

I wonder if Mitt will buy him a red dress for their losing run.

CNNs John King is to thank.

From your link

In yet another round of CNN John King's "This or That?" questioning, Gov. Tim Pawlenty chooses Coke over Pepsi.

On a positive note, the fact that the GOP candidates refused to bash each other and roundly criticized Obama is a very good sign..

How are you supposed to differentiate them if they all say the same thing?
I think Pawlenty is just courting the Atlanta, Ga. vote...he is secretly a Pepsi guy
!

How so sanity, for the moment at least they ate running against each other. How are Republicans to choose amongst them if they are all reading from the same script ?

They will need to ,at some point, draw the distinctions between their ideas, proposed policies and such...which will by necessity include in some manner bashing each other.....why the love festival last night?
Pawletny seemed to back off his ObamneyCare line,as if he was afraid of direct confrontation with Mitt...what was that about?

As stated in antoher thread, i watched the debate and thought it was GREAT... lots of different questions on lots of different topics.  i rather liked Cain in the first debate, but after this one... I think he's out of his league -- answers were just too general.  Seems like a nice enough guy, but far too short on specifics.  Ron Paul is just too goofy for me... but I thought the others did really well.  For me, Santorum, Romny and Pawlenty did the best, with Backmann and Gingrich following.  I enjoyed it.

As to the "Coke/Pepsi", "thin crust/thick crust pizza" type questions?  I thought it was great as well, for one simple reason... it took the viewer (and even the candidates) out of that heavy "politics" mode between commericals and topic breaks.  I loved it.

It's called "politics"... it's too early for that type of "direct confrontation".  Things didn't heat up between Obama and Hillary till much later either.

Must have really made him "frothy" when Lawrence vs Texas was struck down the Texas sodomy laws.

~gotta remember not everyone follows the "truth" but prefers the spin~

Yeah, why bother?
There was this thing called the STANLEY CUP on in the area and I saw a brief blurb on the news where the newscaster said "From Smyrna Mills to DC, the debate got lower ratings than a public access TV program".

Nothing was better than the "not intended to be a factual statement" excuse.

So, who 'schooled'  Obama in this logical idea and fact fest?  Anyone?  Bueller?
