Im a Sadist and being such deal with many masocists whom all enjoy anything that brings pain hence the way I punish is not with toys nor tools of My Lifestyle or trade but the good old oldie but goodie sentance writing. A little bad 2000 sentances none the same. More then a little bad 4000 sentances none with the same words in them. VERY bad 6000 sentances with a new word thats never been used looked up in the dictionary and used in a sentance with no two sentances having the same words and the words used in every sentance uttered out loud for a week. Of course when the sentance is done THENNNNNNNN the floggers, paddles, canes, and whips come out ~wink~ JMO

Now subs and slaves tell the truth here wouldent this punishment simply run you bonkers?

My Mistress prefers the cane to the flogger when it comes to punishment, because she knows I fear the cane more. When she grabs a flogger i already get too hot to think of anything more then enjoyable pleasures that are going to happen.

By the way, the flogger has an interesting history. It is the ONLY lifestyle toy that was implicitly designed for use on humans.

Really? I suppose it might depend on what your definition of a "lifestyle toy" is.

Jack McGrath tells the story about a few people playing at an interrogation scene where a few people were trying to break another.

They approached him and asked him (he is an expert at interrogation and fear, having been involved in this in a professional capacity through the government) to look over what they were doing and to lend a hand.

He asked them what they were doing to break this individual (I believe there was a bet involved).

They had the gentleman trussed up and blindfolded and were beating him with a deer hide flogger. He laughed.

He told them all to play to his lead and walked into the room.

He stated (something to the effect of) - "Is this the fucking worm that you desire to break?"

They acknowledged that it was.

He told them to leave the room (signalling them that it was ok to stay as long as they were quiet).

He approached the individual on the ropes, pulled a knife, placed it against his neck and asked the man if he knew who he was. The man shivered and replied in the negative.

Jack then informed him that he was there to break him... and, if killinghim was required, he had absolutely no issue with that. But, first they would play some.

He asked him which portion of his body he might live without.

Eventually (after more discussion - mostly one sided), he placed the knife under the gentleman's balls and declared that he could probably get along best without those, as they were obviously not used anyway.. and proceeded to apply pressure.

The fellow broke about at this point.

The moral to the story -
1. If someone knows you, they know what you are and are not capable of
2. If there is an element of the unknown involved, it goes a long way to place the fear of God into the person that is being "interrogated"
3. Floggers are about the most useless thing in the world when it comes to this sort of thing - and is generally no more than (as someone has already stated) a massage.

Discipline (if sincerely meant to inflict pain and not play) is best done with something that is meant to inflict pain (and, not in a good way).

Get a paddle - a thin stripped belt - a cane - a cat-o-nine - a quirt. - but, no - a flogger built to the current spec for our cultures BDSM is generally useless in this application.

it simply depends on the flogger. i have been whipped until i couldn't stand. i am afraid of whips and even moreso belts. i do not find it pleasurable merely painful. However i have an addiction to the pain and the fear of being whipped. Sometimes ill misbehave or even ask to be punished. Mistress does not understand why i do this and then cringe and cry once it begins. neither do i lol.

I am just curious as to whether people use their floggers more for discipline or just for scene play? I have read various articles regarding the history of the flogger and why it is used but I want to know what REAL people think.

How do you torture a masochist? Do nothing

Floggers tend to be a more yummy implement. When I want to discipline, truly discipline for a wrongdoing I don't use implements. A chain smoking, beer loving subbie had to kneel on a plastic knubbly mat while staring at his cigarettes and an open beer for an hour.
A sub 45 minutes late with an excuse, not a reason, was placed just inside my apartment door naked on the knubbly plasic mat over hardwood flooring waiting for me the way he had kept me waiting. While he knelt there, my roomie came back from shopping, first the sound of the key in the lock, then the door opens to the building hall and a man walks in, ignores the naked sub, puts his groceries away and goes to his room. When I went to let the lad up, he whined, so I made him get dressed and leave. I don't put up with whining.
Leave the toilet seat up and a boy has to sit to pee when in my home from then on.
A sub who had asked me to teach him not to be late was sent home (a 2 hour drive) for being 13 minutes late, he wasn't even allowed in my door.

Implements are used for "naughty" boys who want to be punished, it is part of the scene, not a true punishment.

ooooooooooooooooooo, my roomie wants an interrogation scene and because of past military training would be hard for someone like me to break, f**k hard, impossible, but the idea in your post is delicious! I love it! Would it be ok if I borrowed it some time?
