Life the usual..... You? Shit, 19834 in 5 years.... wtf?

Yeah, I go away, sometimes for a year at a time too....because I get busy with life, but occasionally I will post nonstop for about a week. I post very quickly too, because I write very fast.

I like to post in the religion and politics section. I can post hundreds of times in one day just in that forum alone! I was sick for almost two weeks, so now that I am better I will soon be going away again. I am moving in two weeks also, which will mean I will get out of the habit of posting so much

Fair enough, seriously, i'm not judging anyone.

I do not feel judged.... I was just explaining my posting habits because you asked. I was assuming it was a question from a sincere desire to know.... please don't tell me you were trolling for a defensive response because I just won't believe it!

Gee.  What a shock.  Somebody who doesn't have the experiences in their own life regarding BDSM doesn't post that much on the forum where those topics are discussed.

If this were a forum about knitting baby blankets, I suppose I wouldn't have that much to say because that's not an activity that I engage in.

Anyway, to answer the OP, some people think and type way faster than others, that's all. When you get real good, yeah, you can knock off a couple hundred posts in a day, easy peasy. Nothing to marvel over.

I wouldn't consider myself a regular poster, but I have a high count listed.
So, my regular life has a 40+ hr work week, with many of my off hours dedicated to researching things of interest.
For many years I ran a munch group, with visits to other munches around within a 100 mile radius. Occasional play parties or shopping trips were part of my month. I have a family. I come home from work and make dinner and take care of any little home items that might come up. When I was in a relationship I spent just as many hours on various groups AND played for 6 hr stretches 2 or 4 times a week, plus the play inside our office during the day.

Are you equating hours spent in forums as not real? Do you assume that those of us who do post clearly must not be busy in real life? I would say it is more likely that we get bored doing nothing and fill in the blanks doing things like forums.

If you don't have a high post count AND you are also pitifully lacking a social life maybe you need to manage your time and find plenty of real life activity to take up the time.

It makes sense for posters with as few posts as us. I'm talking about the ones with really high post counts guys.

My offline and online "busyness" are no one's business but my own.

If my offline world wasn't far busier than online, I'd be ready to pack it in. Online is entertainment, rarely more. If you wish you had more time for online diversion, multitask, but jealously guard real life!

Or is BDSM purely something you do here posting very regularly? I wonder because I certainly would not have time to post as much as some- due to real life.

I post in waves.  My life is very busy, but I check the threads over coffee before work, and then at night before I go to bed.  Sometimes if work is slow I post from my iPhone during the day but that's not really the norm.  I usually have something going on - friends, family, errands - every night after work. Last night was waxing night, tonight I got my nails done, tomorrow I'm going to my mother's to balance her checkbook and take her grocery shopping, Friday is girl's night - a dinner party with 5 women friends, and this weekend I'm with the Mister.

I keep saying I'm going to stop booking stuff during the week but I haven't seemed to manage that quite yet.

Right! I was trying to think of his name before. He got SO upset once when LaT and I said his photo looked like a parlor.

Inexplicably upset.

Must have had a Victorian nanny who abused him.

To the OP; your question is passive-aggressively judging; as if time spent on the forum indicates anything about a person's outside life.

I guess it never occured to you that in our digital connectivity, we can multitask; some people work at home and have multiple windows open.

And yet, somehow, we manage to work, date, see friends and family, see movies, plays, concerts, do errands, you know, life stuff.

I don't have an online 'life'.  I post here, I don't live here.

I do wonder how some people manage to get their work done, cook dinners, clean house, do dishes, fuck their lovers and maintain good hygiene all while being online as much as they are.  If I was that good at multitasking, I'd probably have 10,000 posts too.
