On multi-tasking, it really doesn't take much to be able to laugh at trolls who think they own the threads they start, giggle over some douchecanoe argue with a Mod, and watch House (starting to really like that show) all while dressing for My other half to get home so we can keep our dinner plans.

It appears that some of our posters don't understand what "drop it" means. If you need moderation to control yourselves, feel free to ASK for it directly.

See, I think most of us are like that - I'm rarely ever just typing (or even just typing one thing - I'll flit back between email and editing stuff and t'internet). In the course of typing this I've got myself a drink, put the final beads on a scarf marionette I've been adjusting, and answered an OKC mail about maybe getting a coffee with someone.

I had a zoomy busy day at work, but my internet got reconnected after a week, and I had to celebrate the thrill of a cable modem by logging on. Then I was sunk in work again. I don't see myself as having an online "life", it's just a tool to help me keep in touch with friends.

My bdsm life is actually slow by choice, though I am going to a party this weekend and DMing at a friend's event the following week. I am taking a break from the drama, expense, and sameness of my local scene.
