well, duh! you rock!!

LillyBoPeep -> RE: what's in a name? (6/16/2011 10:22:10 AM)

at the moment, for my name i'm going with

the sweetest judgment of God for the brave and courageous

yeah, so don't mess with me, cause i'll tell God on your ass. =p

(snazzy thread by the way, edited to remove the rest of the previous edit because i looked at the OP and it was no longer necessary =p haha)

HannahLynHeather -> RE: what's in a name? (6/16/2011 10:40:07 AM)

i prefer
sweet is god's judgment......

but since pamela does mean honey, i would go with:
god's judgment of the brave is as sweet as honey

LadyHibiscus -> RE: what's in a name? (6/16/2011 10:49:29 AM)

My first name is a version of "Free person", so is my middle name! My last name is a variation of the color red.

HannahLynHeather -> RE: what's in a name? (6/16/2011 11:12:08 AM)

ok, that's going to take some thought

free, free, red
free, red, free
red, free, free

hmmmmmmmmmm

hey miranda, mooie naam, heel lyrisch (yay for online translators!!)
I do use them once in a while, when I don't understand a word you (all) are using.... My english isn't perfect [&:]
as i was falling asleep i thought of this. instead of watching, use the sense of looking, and you get

looking for the rebirth.......

i think that's better, don't you? also the place name probably has a meaning as well, which could give you something even better.

My surname's history is common, he of she is from that or that place.... for I know my birthname goes way back to somewhere 15th century..And had some nobles throughout the ages. One of the sisters of my grandfather had done research on it. That's why I know. I am sure, that a lot of the names in the states, can be traced back to Holland or at least Europe.

Hi Lady H.
Hanners just phoned from work, she has been thinking about your name, and she said I should post this.
Based on the symbolic meaning of the colour red, she would interpret your name as:

The strength of the freeman is in his liberty.

She promises to see if she can come up with a better one, but personally, I think that one is darn cool!

FelineFae -> RE: what's in a name? (6/16/2011 2:42:38 PM)

The surname i was born to is not the original name. Before Ellis island, the family name was Mowat but my ancestor had a thick brough and the imigtation official there gave us a name American name. i have no clue what Mowat means.[8|]
my given name means ' princess witch ', because my parents might have been a tad pretentious.

littlewonder -> RE: what's in a name? (6/16/2011 8:58:14 PM)

my first name is Greek for honeybee. I used to hate my first name until I found that out and now it's grown on me and I like the meaning.

My maiden name means "cousin" in German, basically a generic german last name. When they came to America it was changed to last name that is synonymous with chained or tethered lol...apropos? [:-]

My married name is an Irish clan and originated from gaelic prefixes meaning "son of" and "loving".

Okays, it seems to be derived from a family of Mont Alto's being transplanted into Scotland. At least with a name like Mont Alto, they would do okay in the Highlands.
So my name at birth meant, Princess Witch of the High Mountain.

sexyred1 -> RE: what's in a name? (6/16/2011 10:42:51 PM)

My first name means "noble female" and my middle name means "female warrior". Weird, huh?

I would love to know the interpretation of my whole name.

HannahLynHeather -> RE: what's in a name? (6/16/2011 11:12:22 PM)

well mowat means the person who takes care of a communal pasture. its derived from old english words meaning meadow guardian. sooooo...

the princess who guards the witch's meadow
or
the witch who guards the princess's meadow.

i just saw your post and did some further looking, and it could be from mont haut as well as a variant of mowatt. i like yours better than mine, so princess witch of the high mountain it is!
i guess you can chose whichever fits best, depending on how fucking bitchy you feel on any given day. [:D]

hmmm

i'm going to go with your altered maiden name and your married name, and i come up with:

honeybee chained by love

HannahLynHeather -> RE: what's in a name? (6/16/2011 11:24:23 PM)

well red, the obvious interpretation is: noble amazon

if you want, cmail me your full name and i'll see what i come up with.

FelineFae -> RE: what's in a name? (6/17/2011 12:21:44 AM)

BitaTruble -> RE: what's in a name? (6/17/2011 12:51:27 AM)

My first name means *heavenly*, my middle name means *famous warrior*, my last name (maiden) means *friend* and my last name (married) means *to shine; radiate happiness*.

tazzygirl -> RE: what's in a name? (6/17/2011 1:13:17 AM)

Lady of the bitter sea clearing... lol.. I sorta like that.

But, in actuality, my name simply means Lady Mary of the clearing.

sunshinemiss -> RE: what's in a name? (6/17/2011 2:59:42 AM)

My name means honey, sweetheart, flower. In Chinese my name means slow moving wave.

I like to think of it as... honeysuckle adrift upon an ocean of love.

... or something like that...

GreedyTop -> RE: what's in a name? (6/17/2011 4:34:58 AM)

Thanks, Hannah!
a little of god's grace sets the courageous apart

Kana -> RE: what's in a name? (6/17/2011 5:13:57 AM)
