I don't do the calories thing, nor do I do the regular eating times thing, I just eat when I'm hungry and of that mostly complex carbs intersperced with fish, dried fruit and grains. I try to arrive at what would be considered a dancer's diet, as that diet seems to be best for me, the more activity the more I eat, the less activity the less I eat. Recently someone told me I was too thin, but I am happy with that, as I have no beer gut or excess fat and I can move well without running out of energy and sometimes that on not eating for a day or two. My weight has been constrant now for the last seven years and it was constant before that since my teens. But somatotype body type I believe comes into it more than the calories thing, and with that I am an ectomorph and yes it does run some parallels with the Ayurvedic tridosha system, which I have also studied,as myself having a particular interest in ancient Indian thought..
