The extent of Bachmann's hypocrisy is truly disgusting. And the only media coverage we get are Fox “News” lies protecting her that she’s being attacked by the “left wing media.”  Wow.

The money came from the Members' taxpayer-funded office accounts, despite House rules prohibiting the use of these funds for political activities. Bachmann's office insists the expense was a proper use of official funds.
 
Bachmann billed the event as a "press conference," which can be funded from official accounts. But no questions were taken from the press and, unlike most press conferences, it opened with a prayer, the national anthem and a recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.

If a Democrat had done something this corrupt, the media, Congressional members, the president would all be calling for a resignation (just look at what happened to Anthony Wiener, no i don't like what he did but he shouldn't have been forced to resign). Since it was a Republican (i call them all 'regressives') it never happened.

For anybody who believes any of these righteous repubs, would be to exhibit and living in the same world of outlandish hypocrisy.

The repubs forgive each other for adultery (a religious tenet known as commandment) and even repeat offenders but will not forgive Romney for RomneyCare and a sin in the church of profits. The repubs forgive Gingrich and Vittner and allow that righteous adulterous Santorum to seek their pres. nomination while labeling dems as some sort of social sloth.

It's getting so ridiculously obvious that one has to wonder how the repubs get elected to any office. The repubs even support a Pa. state rep found guilty of molesting a 13 yr. old girl on the repub ticket.

There's a whole lot more I am sure.

This OP shows how they must use the Orwellian requirement to change the meaning of words. A political rally becomes a press conference. A peacable assembly for a redress of the peoples legitimate grievances is called a parade, requiring a parade permit.

Anybody not witnessing the destruction of this country's laws and political regulations and the requirements for the coming capitalist fascism...is blind.

I was not aware that one HAD to take questions at a press conference in order for it to BE a press conference... Only in Liberalland where the Zombies walk the earth, looking for hand outs.

The faux outrage of the left is hilarious to watch, you guys have it down to an art form. I'm beginning to think all liberals are just full of anger and rage, and miserable their entire lives.

OK rob, have you ever seriously heard of a press conference where the press didn't want to ask questions?

Here are the possibilities.

A: It wasn't a press conference

B It was a press conference and either Bachman was SO erudite that all those reporters were in too much awe to think of a question.

C: It was a press conference and Bachman's statements had such a huge "WHAT THE FUCK? effect" that the reporters couldnt think of a question.

It was dropped because, in the words of the Fox News commentators, the situation was "murky".

In other words, Bachmann and her fellow conservatives were treading a fine line.

Considering her teabbagger positions on the use of government funding, I would think this stretched well beyond the lines she herself drew.

But "one" running for President of the United States, would surly have to answer questions or be thought of as a coward,wussie,light-weight,hider,with something to hide.
