I've been with a Master who wasnt involved with bdsm, he was also a very controlling man. I loved the relationship and I was very submissive to him. I felt fulfilled and happy.

Now I am back within a bdsm Master/slave relationship....to be quite frank, until I met Master, I really thought my days as a slave were over, I had never contemplated coming back into this life....yet saying that... when it was re-introduced to my thoughts again...it was like a part of me that had been shut down opened up again..and I hadnt even realised it was shut down...it was like all of me was *operational* again. It made me question some things... what was missing out of my previous relationship that could have had me shut down..and what thing does a BDSM Master/slave relationship offer that I wasnt getting in my previous relationship with a Master who was not involved in bdsm?

I have come to the conclusion ....and I dont know if this is the full reality...but it has to do with sexuality and physicality..a bdsm Master/slave relationship brings domination and submission into play on every level of reality....its can be very primal and physical and yet at the same time it can be very subtle and etheral. It brings everything together for a full experiencing.

All I can say is..thankgod Master came and claimed me and made me his own

Thanks for the replies.
I do gather that some are looking for a leader, and if he is dom then great. Others need a dominant person truly in this lifestyle who can offer beyond simply directing and taking charge, there is a difference. But for many (MY VIEW) they might not know or even be cognizant of what this lifestyle can offer, yet be happy.

Yes, real doms are true leaders , well atleast at home( some may not have the skill to lead other MEN, at work, in play., or life) A dom who is not incharge always is simply acting a part, a part that only a weak OR NEW slave could accept!

My Beloved shows his mastery over himself through maitaining a loving family life and realationship that is extremely challenging due to exturnal pressures without having to fallback on his dominance.

Gosh my previous post comes across as very rant-y and aggressive .....but well... I am very much in love(even after all these years) and the thought that some how my Beloved was seen as "less" because of the way we have give and take as a Dom/Domme ...stung me a tad.
However this thread (and my pitbull like rant)has lured my Beloved on to the boards.
YAY!.
