LOL....Comfortably Numb has quite the opposite effect on me, but only because it was my ex-husband's ultimate feel-good song.

That one prompted me to a different time... and I remembered how happy this makes me:

and with it (because I used to be involved with a group that had a CD of "feel good" music and both of them were on it...

Hey!  You were right!!  Thanks!

Some of the songs in this thread, I've never heard of, so this is a fun musical education for me.  Some of the songs listed are brilliant and I wouldn't have thought of, off the top of my head.

peachgirl, I'm doing a lot better, thank you!

I can think of a few, but can't narrow it down to just one, sadly.

Wall Of Death by Richard and Linda Thompson*
Happy When It Rains by the Jesus And Mary Chain
I Believe by Buzzcocks
Gary Gilmour's Eyes by The Adverts
World Destruction by Afrika Bambaata and PiL
She Sings Alone by See See Rider
Incendiary Lover by Gitane Demone
Spirit Of The Age by Hawkwind
When An Old Cricketer leaves The Crease by Roy Harper (and some brass band)

*(and When I Get To The Border, Shoot Out The Lights, Hard Luck Stories, Dimming Of The Day, I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight, Don't Renege On Our Love, and loads more besides...)
