Jeff - thank you for clarifying.
best wishes to you and yours.

p.s. Is it me or are you waxing more poetically these days?

More poetic? I somehow doubt that. I usually just think of myself as wordy and opaque but I may be in a "more wordy and opaque" phase right now :)

Wordy and Opaque

Sounds poetic to me!

When summarizing a thought
When giving a lecture
It's best to give attention
to message and gesture

If I sound wordy to
ears of spun gold
It's 'cause I'm opaque
or so I've been told...

:)

VC - I know about Canadians and their hockey. Rather like Americans and football. Hockey is at least interesting. (sacrilege, I know. Sue me.) Besides, the hockey players - some of them speak French. Oo la la.

But he's not even Canadian - he just...really likes the NHL. I mean, don't get me wrong, hockey's a good sport - I didn't miss a game when I lived near a rink. But the hockey league of a country you've (he's) never been to? He's an odd little sod, that boy.

I have decided that the main non-kink thing that MrHCurious has to offer, though, is good neck and shoulder skritches. Yup. That is where his value lies.

If I've said it once, I've said it a million times - once you fall in love, you care not for such things as distance or international borders or big fuck-off bodies of water. And it is love. It's an abusive kind of love, in that I follow them borderline obsessively and they let me down at every turn, but consarnit you can't stop our love!

Although it's absolutely true about the skritches. I am basically just a pair of arms and hands to her.

Thank you everyone for responding to this post. I put it up right before having to spend a few dreadful days in the hospital following emergency surgery, and it was wonderful to get home and have replies to read.

It was not an easy exercise for me to answer my own question. Even though I consider self-confidence my strong suit, I felt rather uncomfortable listing my positive qualities without feeling like I was tooting my own horn. But just as I made myself squirm, from now on I will be sure to ask this question right off the bat as a screening tool when someone contacts me on the other side...and watch the majority cancel themselves out in nothing flat.

Besides Kink what do I have to offer?

I will always remember what you show me. I have a photographic memory.
Do you like to read? I have a library that ranges from the classics of Hemmingway, Poe, London, Longfellow to Scifi's Clark, Asimov, Bradbury to modern day Physics and quantum mechanics, Kipling, Thorn, Green and much more inbetween.
Handyman that can fix anything in the house or car. Be it mechanical, electrical or plumbing
An audiophile. I have an LP record collection that is impressive. You might say so what? But I have a keen ear, I know how to listen :)
A collection of lead crystal cut glass that would fill an entire room wall.
A nicely furnished 3 bedroom ranch house.
Two kayaks
Two ATVs
One patient man
One mind that does not think like most
More than that you are just going to have to ask :)

I think people who can and are willing to do this for me are gods.

I just happen to live on a wonderful bay...

One patient man
Very hard to find these days!

Also very hard to find these days!

So, mummy dear, are you sure you don't live near the Central California Coast?

Unfortunately the only body of water I am near is the Ohio river. Cincinnati is not really "the place to be" LOL! The only thing keeping me here is Dad. So I do know I will relocate in the future. Just a question of when.

OK, scratch that glass of wine, make it a bottle, we'll have plenty to talk about...

The funny part with the memory is that I never knew until I was older. I was always really good with remembering numbers and never knew why. I got injured at work and as part of the rehab process you have to go through IQ tests, a bunch of psyc tests etc. So one day the psychologist keeps testing me over and over with the same type of test. One of tests is they show you 100 different photographs of different people. Then 4 hours later they show you 2 photographs at a time, one of which you have seen before, and similar one you have not. And you are supposed to pick out the one you saw earlier in the day. When I got all 100 right the psycologist was a giddy as school boy in a candy store. I had no idea what was going on. Three days of testing later the psycologist told me I had a photographic memory.

Yes, that bottle of wine sounds like a very good start to a long discussion for the evening :)

... I'm joining that party, and then I'm going to get a flashlight and point it at your ear and look at your brain and see all 100 photographs!

Resistance is futile.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!!!!!  This would appear to be an inopportune time for an obtuse sort like me to try and solicit blowjobs, I'm thinkin.

HERESY! FOUL HERESY OF THE DARKEST SORT!!!!!!!

It is never a bad time for a blowjob! I am simply shocked at you Ron.

I see the OP's point. But it really does just depend on what the person whose profile you read is actually looking for. Some are looking for relationships, some are looking for a one night stand, some are looking for online only.

I think my point is that while I agree that a lot of the profiles read like cheap porn it is incumbent on the reader to decide if they are looking for what is being offered.

Mine is blunt to the point of being brutal. It does not even give a hint of what I can or do offer. It is simply a beginning set of requirements. If the reader meets that beginning set, then we get personal about the rest between the two of us. To my mind, why waste my time and theirs putting out what else I bring to the table if they do not meet my number one desire/need.

When you are done doing that Sunshiney one, go use it on Ron, I think he might have recently had a stroke or been replaced by pod people, see above comment, you'll recognize the issue immediately.

Well Hello neighbor! You are rather close. Hmmm.....45 minutes.....that would put you in the Okeana or Oxford areas? I am on the Westside of Cincinnati just off of I-74

Now remember I said I had a photographic memory....so if you looking there all you might find is a digital camera. I never said I had brains

Foiled again!  It's the pod people.  Definitely the pod people.

And to stay somewhat on topic... I can't cook, I can't clean, thank goodness the washing machine does the laundry.  I'm a fair hand at baking, I'm fairly good at redding up, but I can make a milkshake that makes all the boys come around... and good conversation after.  that's 'bout it.
