Its still early.

There is absolutely no one beside Gingrich and Paul in their 60s who have anything close to the ability to run and neither of them are winning the nomination.

Looking at the crowd now, I am still hoping they have a dark horse waiting in the wings. If not, I dont hold out much hope for the party.

lickenforyou -> RE: Rolling Stone piece on Michelle Bachmann (6/23/2011 5:46:34 PM)

Of course she's a serious threat. Anyone who has the connections and the cash to get into one of the two major parties and raise money could end up winning. We just have to keep pointing out how crazy she is and hope it's enough.

tazzygirl -> RE: Rolling Stone piece on Michelle Bachmann (6/23/2011 5:47:38 PM)

She isnt the darling of any media. Thats why I dont see her as any threat. They are all poised to rip her apart.

We'll put champagne in escrow for the 2012 elections. I'm confident Im the one who will be drinking, but you will have the hangover on 11/7.

Tell ya what, I will get a bottle tomorrow, keep it stored, and toast the Republicans when Obama is relected.

Expecting a miracle in the economy, eh?

Better stock up on chambord, the sweetness of a Kir Royale will counteract the bitterness of your tears.

He has a few miracles up his sleeves.

ROFL. Must be wayyyy up his sleeves, because he hasnt displayed any magic yet, except how to make a $700 billion disappear.

Please list 5 ways she has demonstrated credibility.

Watch the debate.

You're the one who thinks she's credible.

You actually expect me to watch the daily show in a serious thread?Though it does explain the shallowness of your understanding of the political world.

tazzygirl -> RE: Rolling Stone piece on Michelle Bachmann (6/23/2011 6:15:28 PM)

Come on willbe.. its a serious thread about Bachman.

Get used it. She will replace Palin in the pantheon of P&R character assassination that is supposed to pass as objective evaluation.

As expected, the demonization starts when she wins a debate and shows how credible she really is. Much more likely VPOTUS than POTUS though.

I agree that she might "balance" out a moderate on a ticket.  But she's so much like Palin that I think that the GOP might suffer 2008 flashbacks if it's suggested.

Who would she be a VP candidate to?  Romney and Huntsman are the only ones that I could see getting more interest than her in the primary.  Santorum has no use for her - she would simply replicate him, not complement him (and he's not gonna get the nomination anyway).

I still think she's got a very good shot at winning the nomination.

Let me direct your attention to the # 1 spot:

Additionally, since it is your position that she is credible, please back it up.

tazzygirl -> RE: Rolling Stone piece on Michelle Bachmann (6/23/2011 6:25:13 PM)

Palin has her own special place in all our hearts, willbe. She will never be replaced.

Let me draw attention to the fact that that study has been debunked for its obvious bias.

Credibility is eye of the beholder. Watch the fucking debate and draw your own conclusions. Then come back with minutae, spin or outright lies about where she isnt credible.

Lucylastic -> RE: Rolling Stone piece on Michelle Bachmann (6/23/2011 6:32:42 PM)

Ive been demonizing her since I heard about her... actually quite a few of us have.. so sorry , you are toooo late to that party Wilbur, shes been batshit crazy since ....oooh 2008?maybe 2009, at least in my opinion

PS Im not ashamed of laughing at her or palin...

tazzygirl -> RE: Rolling Stone piece on Michelle Bachmann (6/23/2011 6:33:55 PM)

Ive been at her since she held the prayer over the health care bill.

I think we did this before - I gave the Pew methodology and you posted some batshit youtube video. Apologies if it wasn't you.

You made the assertion that Bachmann is credible, why are you so reluctant to back it up?
