Hell, if all else fails show them the crazy.  There was a period where I was so fed up with things, I just started being crazy and unpredictable.

Got tired of washing clean clothes because my family was too lazy to put the clean clothes away?  They came home to mom enjoying s'mores over a bonfire, fueled by their clothes.

Got tired of tripping over their stuff, and being ignored when I asked them to pick it up.  They came home to immaculate rooms, free of ALL clutter.  Their stuff, all of it, was up in the attack and locked down tight.  They couldn't make their beds.  Yep, I paid a guy to cart the beds up to the attack too.  They slept on the floor for a month.

Got tired of someone complaining because they didn't like this for dinner, or that for dinner.  I quit cooking.

There was a time when I had room mates, that I was feeding at my own expense.  After repeatedly proving they had no appreciation or consideration - I bagged up all the food.  ALL of it, hell I even vacuumed up the few grains of rice that had spilled in the cabinet.  Locked away the food I had to feed MY children and gave the rest away to a homeless shelter.   I'd be fucked, if I was going to feed a bunch of ingrates.

Couldn't get the lawn mowed, I'd decide the lawn HAD to be mowed at a time THEY needed a ride somewhere.

Crazy works a lot better than bitching.

and on that note one family member said this morning as i am getting up early to wake them up for a group trip, that the only thing i do in this house is clean our bedroom! THE ONLY THING?! Not getting any sleep and getting up just to drive you 30 minutes for your field trip, meanwhile making everyone coffee...not enough for 2 hours of sleep. Not to mention the kitchen has been cleaned by me ever since that person joined the group which is the members job! Had another family member clean that family members room because it wasnt getting done, so they lost their room, laptop and cell phone (the electronics they had gotten back for a whole day!) And the ones that were awake to here this nonsense agreed! I say its a bunch of spoiled rotten brats following whomever wants to blame me! Fucking fustrating! and yes i am pissed! Ready to pack up the kids to their aunts and go live in a cave somewhere!

ok sorry to rant.......

If I would have been told that was the "only thing" that I do, I would have turned right around and said, "Cool.  That means I don't have to drive you anywhere today".  What a dumb ass move on your part to drive her anyway.  Things like this are *exactly* why you aren't getting respected.  You can't expect *them* to change their behavior unless you change yours.

You took the electronics but still kept being the taxi?  That's not a consistent message at all.  Neither are the ballgames and all of the other 'extras' that are permitted to continue when the problems are going on in the household.  Your week of break from classes is damn near up.  I'm not hearing boatloads of progress.

This situation really isn't that different than My own when I collared clip.  While clip definitely did what he was commanded to do in My house, it was always very clear that he was *My* submissive, and not the children's.  They still had to do their own chores, listen to him if he happened to be the one reminding them to do it, and be appreciative if he happened to be the one driving them somewhere.  If he did them a favor, it was treated as such, even though I was the one saying it was ok to do so.

There was one, exactly one incident where there was a problem and believe Me when I tell you that everybody in the household got reminded of just who was in charge and it was damn quick.  I put My foot down and I followed through.  Had that happened in your household, this still wouldn't be going on.

Does anyone else think this is getting as good as the "Tap Tap Tap" thread?

tap tap was FUNNY.   This is beyond pathetic, bordering on disgusting, IMO.

Start there.  They won't give you pity, sympathy or play into any drama like here, but you just might find the help you need.  Or say you need.

like LaT said earlier..all I am hearing is the voices of teh adults in the Peanuts shows...

tammystarm -> RE: Fibro, school, house of 6 (7/8/2011 10:36:53 AM)

Ok the reason thing "A" has had to go on these trips etc, is it was court ordered. To join the kids of the community, they clean and get rewarded with trips. GREAT. The reason being she missed 45 days of school.... two weeks of having flu b and strep at the same time and a month from her tonsilectomy/adnoid... however it was only approved for two weeks... so she got 90 hours community service.

i know guys what your thinking and id say the same damn thing, and i greatly appreciate everyones advice, it does help strengthen me, ALOT. Now ive pissed off the house and Master too. Now I get to get rid of the cats, for my punishment. The cats didnt do anything i did! And i meant to do it. I was at my wits end, trying to figure out what to do, i had to turn somewhere, and being in a forum of people that mostly i havent met was the best way i could think of to handle it. What can i do, my hands are fucking tied! The house has to be perfect, i have to get this degree so i can work and not live off of 850 a month IF i lose everything. I have to be in a quiet dark room when the migraines hit , hence the bedroom. And nobody gives a flying fuck in this house! I am very mad and extremely sad that those i loved the most and would have done anything in the world for, think of me the way they do, treat me the way they do. I wanna scream its not right, but than again the world isnt fucking fair!

frazzle -> RE: Fibro, school, house of 6 (7/8/2011 10:40:52 AM)

Taking this all at face value. Contact a shelter and get yourself out this weekend.

Ok it might be hard for a while, but what is there to stay for???

LadyHibiscus -> RE: Fibro, school, house of 6 (7/8/2011 10:42:49 AM)

Okay, you are in beauty school, right? I think you can be crazy and still do aesthetics.

barelynangel -> RE: Fibro, school, house of 6 (7/8/2011 10:43:39 AM)

Again, Tammy -- who is this LEADER, you were talking and complaining about.  Is Art the leader they are running too?  If he is and he is in agreement with them, then, yes, you have a problem  But from his posts he supports you in whatever it is you decide to do with regard to this issue and supports your discipline of the kids.  So which is it -- he either is agreeing with the kids or he is supporting you?

You sound like Art will kick your ass out if you stop doing everything because the kids in the house have no respect for either of you.   I said stop doing everything and anything FOR THE KIDS.    My mom reminded me of what one of our neighbors did, THEY (mom and the dad) set up tents in the fenced-in back yard during the summer and kicked the kids out of the house for the weekend (the kids didn't know it was only going to be for two days) because of the same exact scenerio.  They were much more appreciative of what their parents did for them after that.

As always, there seem to be two different ideas coming from your posts and arts posts.  What is the REAL story?   If one of the kids are the "Leader" then kick that kids lil ass and get him/her in gear.  If ART is the Leader, then you have a problem and that problem is your Master isn't supporting you as he claims to be in disciplining and running the home.  Two very different concepts.

From your recent posts you aren't listening to anything anyone is saying.  I agree, i think you keep posting for the attention now.

Locked up for a year? You KNOW how hard it is to commit someone for any length of time, so don't confabulate.

Master's in nursing? Are you trying to convince us that you could be ON YOUR FEET on a ward for 14 hour shifts, as sick as you tell us you are?

REALITY. Look at it.

tammystarm -> RE: Fibro, school, house of 6 (7/8/2011 10:47:31 AM)

no im not saying that , the masters was to go on to be a nurse (god i cant spell it) anathesiaologist. i would have my own hours etc.

Oh please.  That ended on page 12.   There are limits to what you can comprehend or remember, that I agree with, as evident by the constant change in flow.

Tammy, when you get to the point you are airing your dirty laundry in public, you might as well hang the dirty drawers too.  Fuck it, show us the not so tidy whities complete with skid marks.

This was my thought too.  Either you are on disability because you are disabled, or you aren't.  If you ARE disabled - working as an anesthesiologist isn't going to be any better.  The medical field is BRUTAL.  There's a saying, that nurses eat their young.  They aren't kidding.

You really, seriously think you would be able to just make your own hours? Since Nurse Anesthesiologists tend to work in hospitals, how do you figure that?
