I have never once claimed i was a nurse... i went to nursing school with that goal of continueing on ... had support with many of my professors and excelled in it.... but it came to the point, moving in at Art's that i could not do it...sucked... then depression and more sickness, so i decided to finish the aesthetics program that i had started before the house fire. (yrs ago).

Ah, ok, because I, along with a few other posters, got the impression you were working on your Master's in nursing.

This isnt true?

Arpig,
Why havent you seen that i am back to a new doctor, scheduled for upteen test (all of which ive had before), scheduled to see a new neurologist, rheumatologist, pain clinic (gahhh!), and others. Hence waiting in line for test, sleep studies etc. Cant really go anywhere with this new doctor until its all done. But i can tell ya, its fibromyalgia which means, deal with it. They are looking to see if there is anything else, besides all the rest. Praying this doctor wont end up with doing the whole pill pill pill shots etc. Done with that, time to get back to alternatives....

There have been new medication options since you tried pills and shots. So don't discount new options just because others haven't worked.

tammystarm -> RE: Fibro, school, house of 6 (7/10/2011 1:27:48 PM)

i said, that i was in school to GET a masters in nursing and go on to be a nurse anestesiologist. Is that a code or something, should I have never said that? I really didnt mean to step on anyone or give the impression that i was something that i am not, ever.

tammystarm -> RE: Fibro, school, house of 6 (7/10/2011 1:30:04 PM)

agrees angelika .... keeps an open mind.... but for so many years i have been a pincushion to doctors, the ones that tried, there was so many that just handed me prescriptions and never listened.... TN is an insane state for abuse of drugs, so every doctor assumes that your just looking for those drugs.... starting to make it really hard to get anywhere with any of them.

I can understand the confusion Tammy: you never said you were in a Master's program: you had your eye on the endgame but it is a common assumption for people that if one is in school to get a Master's in something that they already have their lower degree.

tammystarm -> RE: Fibro, school, house of 6 (7/10/2011 1:37:18 PM)

agrees that i did start seeing some of that thought before, but never addressed it even though i wanted too, just seemed like the last worry at the moment. But honest to God never meant to give that impression.

It lead to massive confusion, tammy. In order to "get" a Masters, you must already possess a Bachelors and be working in the field. You left the impression you were already a nurse.

Lockit -> RE: Fibro, school, house of 6 (7/10/2011 1:53:38 PM)

God damn, there is more drama here than some reality show. Tammy, buck up and knock it off. Be an adult. You are the drama... wishy washy and out of control. So now you have these drama's in your life after three wonderful years... and now all the public display? God damn... I now think I know exactly why you are on disability. So should I pick on you? No, I am not picking on you... just calling it the way I see it and you have drama built in and spreading.

Ball gag the drama dear... you might gain some footing eventually if you do.

DavidLee44UK -> RE: Fibro, school, house of 6 (7/10/2011 1:55:30 PM)

It's okay...just remember all the dysfunction and you'll get through it.

Remember that your relationship with him is something you don't want...it's like if you had a house where everything leaked and it was infested with bugs and rats and there was mold on the wall...you could move out to a clean new place and then think "oh I'm homesick" but you don't actually miss that nasty wreck of a house, you've just lived there long enough that it was your comfort zone.

It's that way with anything. I don't know how long you two were together but I'm guessing a couple years? That gives you certain habits and changes your lifestyle and expectations, it will take awhile to rebound from that...but just keep looking forward, and know that in 5 years the person you are going to be is going to look back and think "ew why was I with that guy again?"
