I just read his profile and there's no proclamation. Just a short respectful journal entry mentioning that things didn't work out and that he wishes you well.

Try a little more drama on your llama why don't you?

And yet, she is still living under his roof, seeing him face to face daily. I'd have
thought that would be more emotionally painful then seeing his online personaas currently available.
Don't worry Tammy. I have a feeling he will be single for quite some time.

Sounds like your abandonment issues have been triggered, despite it being mutual. Just keep focusing on what is best for you and your kids.

There is no longer 2. I am already a massage therapist licensed in Missouri. Moving it to TN. I hold several bachelors degrees. Tons of certifications. Was in medical records years ago. I am an advanced aeomatherapist and have taught in that arena. Certified as a reflexologist from international institute of Reflexology in St Petersburg FL .........on and on...... Chinese Herbals... true hot stone massage therapy sports massage medical massage ....... NOW I'm almost finished with my aesthetics cert. And will continue on to cold lasers etc... plus o signed up for the one ye teachers program...... lets see ( ok go ahead and laugh) psychology ...... history.... literature ..... again nursing ( not finished)..... between that and so many seminars ( makep- Jane Iredale and Mac ) on and on..... that is my resume ..... for those who were confused.

And yet you really don't understand why everyone keeps calling bullshit? You have been in school for 13 years, have three bachelor's degrees along with a bunch of holistic type certifications, but you whined about how you would ever be able to support yourself and your kids. It's really simple, grow the fuck up and realize that you can't be a perpetual student and support your family with your illness.

A bachelor's degree in psychology isn't going to allow you to be doing any kind of counseling or therapy, but there are plenty of other jobs it works for. A bachelor's in business allows you to take any white collar corporate middle management position. There are plenty of things you could have done to support your family, you just wanted to stay in school. Even now you don't talk about finishing, you talk about what courses come after this certification.

This is one of the things you said about nursing:

quote:

Lets clarify this I'm back into school not to finish my masters in nursing but in aesthetics a field I'm passionate

Don't try to say that you weren't trying to be misleading. From all I have read, you just want to stay in school and probably don't actually finish anything, just move on to your latest "desire."

I'm glad you finally decided to end your relationship. Everything else is a bunch of bullshit.

With all your certification, mostly in holistic approaches and you do nothing for your pain? I don't have insurance at the moment, and I manage to do more about my pain levels (which never go below 5 even on a good day) than you are with income and insurance.

You shouldn't be embarassed about receiving disability, you should be embarassed that although you say over and over how your kids are your life, it is nothing but words. School and being a student is your life, your kids are fit in when you don't need to study or come up with some new hairbrained course of study.

Please, find yourself a decent Psychologist who can help you grow up and learn that being a student forever isn't doing your kids a damn bit of good.

If I was in higher education for 13 years I'd expect to have a PHD in something and a law degree, and be well on my way to being a doctor as well.

that wasnt what i wanted. First i got my medical records (blaahh!), then i went to get the bachlors in business admin...which worked for me for awhile. my company sent me for my marketing, used alot as well. But i wasnt happy, i needed to do what i always wanted to do, massage... and i wanted to be the best...hence thousands of hours on different modalities.... but the fibro hit so i went to aesthetics because i had managed and worked at a med spa and loved it.. plus less harmful to the body, but i didnt finish because i was driving 1 1/2 hours each way to school and when our house burnt i decided i needed to be with the kids...... then i started into nursing while doing so i got the bachlors in pyschology......etc.... so now when i moved in with art, it was too much i never had the time to devote myself to studies, stayed home for awhile got mega depressed and that is when i asked the family to help take care of the house they agreed i went back to finish aesthetics, because it is so less hard on the body than anything else, plus you can set your own hours in many settings etc......

did that explain anything, seems like ive been through this........

o and yeah my instructors and i always joked about me already having a phd from all the studies ive done, but i had to find out what was right for me, and they have all worked when they needed too...............

The views, opinions, and suggestions of others is what she wanted.

But you're so perfect now that you spend your time on here advising people against asking for what they want?

How's that working for you? Making friends?

I liked the part about how "it was mutual breakup, even though I did it first."

Yep, she did it first. Then they went back and he broke up with her, making it mutual.

Tammy,

What do you expect when you write like Sybil on caffeine?   If your story continues to change, then next time, hand out score cards.  I for one think the entire thing was bulls***, and that you had "left" before the first post.   My first prediction was accurate, so I'm sticking with this one as well.   You most certainly could have gotten a decently paying job, supported you and your children in a comfortable life with the degrees you have, if you indeed have them.   Who can tell, the credibility of your words has gone right out the window.

Well it can be pretty bad, but I'll give you this one. Now that you've clarified, I can see how you meant it to read.

It was cuter the other way, though.

and NOT for nothing but, should you really pick on someone, who is actually trying to get off disibility instead of living off it?????? Curious. NOT that having to be on disibility is bad, i thank God that our country has it, BUT i mean come on, everyday i goto school it kills me, im hurting so bad that ive popped so many damn ibuprofens etc and still drive home with my shoulders to my ears and one fist balled up in my back.... and i do it again. SOOOOO as you can imagine that when i get home and the house is a scattered mess, with two (now) kids living there and its their messes YEAH i get pretty freaking upset. just saying....... considering its our taxdollar paying for this disibility, yeah i want to try and better myself, to make it through a career that i love and still be a great mommy, someone the kids can look at and say she did it cause she loved us and was determined not to give up.

Tammy...i said earlier that my advice was to give up on the schooling for now, and i stand firm with that.

You indicate that you are taking a new route for treatment of your illness. This means diagnostics will have to be scheduled, new medications will be given, etc. Keep your schedule free for one semester so you can take the first available appointment with any needed specialists and try any new medications without the fear they will impair your ability to study or attend classes.

I would seriously suggest you make your health issues a higher priority than school. Once the pain level is under control you will have a better chance of making things fall into place as far as the move, the kids, a job, and returning to school. You have a lot on your plate right now and fulfilling your responsibilities while dealing with debilitating pain and the depression that goes with it is more than the average person can do.
