Becoming all offended at all the cheers and boos at a soccer match in LA is like getting all offended when listening to evangelical music when attending church.  In both of those places, you really do go there just for that outcome.  Shall we consider the country lost to Christianity, too?

Um, you are the one all scared of Cubans.

And don't have a problem with the US National Anthem being drowned out and disrespected.

And are trying to equate the Cuban refugees with illegal immiration.

While pretending to be some sort of Anti Communist...

Are you always this obtuse dawg?

I'll type sloooowly so you can understand.

The OP concerned Pat Buchanan lamenting that "you can write off LA" because of their disrespect for the national anthem (which I agree was abhorrent) and their announcements being in Spanish for the game.  I agree.  This is the US.  Speak fucking English.

My point is.  Close attention kiddies.  Where was the hue and cry when the same thing was happening in miami?

The same utter contempt for US law, language and culture.

There wasn't one.  Would you like to know why children?

Citizens of Mexican descent almost overwhelmingly vote for Democrats.

Citizens of Cuban descent overwhelmingly vote for Republicans.

The Buchanans and Limbaughs and Hannitys and Becks can't afford to upset such a large bunch of voters and wealthy RNC donors so they get a free pass.

Class dismissed.   You and wilbur may now return to your circle jerk.

But the same thing didn't happen at all in Miami.

It is funny when the Democrats try to play Tough Guy Anti Communist...

It just doesn't work. It is just straight immitation of Ed Schultz.

That go for the stupid cunt The Conspiracy shot through the head in 1963?
You know, the Democrat who was so rabidly anticommunist that he almost started the third world war three times?

Pay attention, whoever programmed the hilliebot. PB's lament was NOT for the disrespect for the anthem, it was just an anecdote illustrating the real problem. ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. ILLEGAL, GET IT?

1. what evidence do you have that all those people in the soccer stadium are illegals.

By the way, if Mexicans had the same immigration standards as Cuban nationals, are you aware that NONE of them would be illegal?  It's called "feet dry".  Set foot on American soil and you are LEGAL BABY.

Before that policy, they had it even better.  If the coast Guard picked them up at sea, they got a free ride to miami.

2. Allowing immigrant groups to Balkanize parts of the US is the problem whether they are legal or not.

This country is a melting pot, not a salad bowl.

luckydawg -> RE: Say Goodbye to Los Angeles (6/28/2011 12:40:22 PM)

no, it has nothing to do with 50 years ago.

We all know you have no clue about things and are not aware that Both Parties have evolved quite a bit in the past 50 years.....

Great Picture though, kudos!!

thats funny no matter what your politics are.

luckydawg -> RE: Say Goodbye to Los Angeles (6/28/2011 12:44:05 PM)

Well Hill you Democrats created the Policy, and have never wanted to change it.

Perhaps you should complain to Obama about it.

Taking in Refugees from Communist Dictatorships seems like an ok thing to do by me. They do all register.

Moonhead -> RE: Say Goodbye to Los Angeles (6/28/2011 12:45:43 PM)

You stated that it's funny when a Democrat tries to play tough guy anticommunist.
That was how Kennedy got voted in. That was why he kept trying to pick fights with Russia, until Oswald saved us from a nuclear exchange.
The fact that both of your parties have moved further to the right since then makes no difference to these facts.

luckydawg -> RE: Say Goodbye to Los Angeles (6/28/2011 12:47:58 PM)

You have spent too much time arguing with PA....

The stance of the Democratic Party 50 years ago has nothing to do with it today.

Moonhead -> RE: Say Goodbye to Los Angeles (6/28/2011 12:51:01 PM)

When did I say it does?

You stated that an anticommunist Democrat was innately hilarious and a contradiction in terms. Does that, or does that not, describe Kennedy (and Johnson, come to that)?

luckydawg -> RE: Say Goodbye to Los Angeles (6/28/2011 12:54:05 PM)

No, Dead describes them.

Q - Who is the biggest proponent for borderless countries?

A - The Chamber of Commerce and the business ownership class.

Q - Who does the Chamber of Commerce give its money to?

A -  (I'll leave that for you to fill in)

Moonhead -> RE: Say Goodbye to Los Angeles (6/28/2011 12:58:59 PM)

So Kennedy and Johnson were not Democrats, or anticommunist, right.
And you have the gall to accuse other people of not having a clue what they're talking about?

How about Carter then? Was his Olympic embargo not an anticommunist act from a Democrat either?

Unfortunatly that goes on in a lot of cities.

I do not see how those could be considered a Cuban thing, except by racism.

you keep calling me a democrat.  Will you show some evidence for that claim?

As for taking in refugees from communist dictatorships, Why do we deport chinese refugees then?

The dry foot policy was a replacement for the Reagan/Bush policy of go find em at sea and bring them here.

Imagine that.  A democrat (clinton) making undocumented immigration more difficult.

You're being obtuse again.  We are not talking about a lot of cities.  This is a tale of TWO cities  (that would make a good book title).  The reason I don't talk about a lot of other cities is that I lived in miami, not them and, unlike you, I don't talk about what that I know fuckall about.

It is ONLY a Cuban thing because that happened to be the major group in miami.  Had I lived in a different city and experienced similar disrespect for the US, it would probably be a different group.

To use one of Sanity's favorite statements.

you're projecting.

luckydawg -> RE: Say Goodbye to Los Angeles (6/28/2011 1:27:08 PM)

You think there is only corruption in two cities?

That Police only sell Blow there?

Seriously you are unaware of corruption by anyone in the US except in Miami by Cubans?

Displaying your ignorance again....You must think it bolsters your point.

No corruption except by Cubans, how fucking stupid....

luckydawg -> RE: Say Goodbye to Los Angeles (6/28/2011 1:34:09 PM)

In 1959, after the Cuban revolution led by Fidel Castro, a large Cuban exodus began as the new government allied itself with the Soviet Union and began to introduce communism. From 1960 to 1979, hundreds of thousands of Cubans left Cuba and began a new life in the United States. Most Cuban Americans that arrived in the United States initially came from Cuba's educated upper and middle classes. Between December 1960 and October 1962 more than 14,000 Cuban children arrived alone in the U.S. Their parents were afraid that their children were going to be sent to some Soviet bloc countries to be educated[citation needed] and they decided to send them to the States as soon as possible. This program was called Operation Peter Pan (Operacion Pedro Pan). When the children arrived in Miami they were met by representatives of Catholic Charities and they were sent to live with relatives if they had any or were sent to foster homes, orphanages or boarding schools until their parents could leave Cuba. In order to provide aid to recently arrived Cuban immigrants, the United States Congress passed the Cuban Adjustment Act in 1966. The Cuban Refugee Program provided more than $1.3 billion of direct financial assistance. They also were eligible for public assistance, Medicare, free English courses, scholarships, and low-interest college loans. Some banks even pioneered loans for exiles who did not have collateral or credit but received help in getting a business loan. These loans enabled many Cuban Americans to secure funds and start up their own businesses. With their Cuban-owned businesses and low cost of living, Miami, Florida and Union City, New Jersey (dubbed "Little Havana-on-the Hudson")[10] were the preferred destinations for many immigrants and soon became the main centers for Cuban American culture.

Another large wave (an estimated 125,000 people) of Cuban immigration occurred in the early 1980s with the Mariel boatlifts. Most of the "Marielitos" were people wanting to escape from communism, and have succeeded in establishing their roots in the US. Fidel Castro sent some 20 thousand criminals directly from Cuban prisons, as well as mentally ill persons from Cuban mental institutions, with the alleged double purpose of cleaning up Cuban society and poisoning the USA. Those people were labeled "unadmissible" by the US government, and with time, through many negotiations, have been returned to Cuba.

You are again blustering without a point.

I understand you got a thing against Cubans.

You keep citing false factgs to bolster your dislike of them.

Its sad.

Maybe one day you will not be a racist anymore.
