Aileen that is great! You have been working steadily toward this and here you are about to do a professional shoot. Maybe that you arent getting dollay bills for this might help alleviate a bit of the pressure and let you focus more on the creativity and keen eye you bring to your pictures. Remember to breathe. It is fine to be nervous, of course you are going to feel that, it is your first wedding but breathe anyway, nice deep breaths to bring oxygen to your body. You are going to rock this. I love what Shore and other people have been telling you already. Let some more of the greats give you a bit of advice and inspiration: I learn something not because I have to, but because I really want to. That's the same view I have for performing. I'm performing because I really want to, not because I have to bring bread back home. ~Yo-Yo Ma I came back to performing with a different attitude about performing and myself. I wasn't expecting perfection any more, just hoping for an occasional inspiration. ~Neil Diamond There are always two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer. ~Ansel Adams A good snapshot stops a moment from running away. ~Eudora Welty Photography records the gamut of feelings written on the human face, the beauty of the earth and skies that man has inherited, and the wealth and confusion man has created. It is a major force in explaining man to man. ~Edward Steichen Perishability in a photograph is important in a picture. If a photograph looks perishable we say, "Gee, I'm glad I have that moment." ~John Loengard, "Pictures Under Discussion" My portraits are more about me than they are about the people I photograph. ~Richard Avedon There are no rules for good photographs, there are only good photographs. ~Ansel Adams How is it possible that a being with such sensitive jewels as the eyes, such enchanted musical instruments as the ears, and such fabulous arabesque of nerves as the brain can experience itself anything less than a god. ~Alan Watts My nerves before a gig got worse; I had terrible bad nerves all the time. Once we started... I was fine. ~ John Bonham Nerves provide me with energy. ... It's when I don't have them, when I feel at ease, that I get worried. ~Mike Nichols The great American game should be an unrelenting war of nerves. ~ Ty Cobb I used to tremble from nerves so badly that the only way I could hold my head steady was to lower my chin practically to my chest and look up at Bogie. That was the beginning of "The Look." ~ Lauren Bacall Life is not governed by will or intention. Life is a question of nerves, and fibers, and slowly built-up cells in which thought hides itself, and passion has its dreams. ~Oscar Wilde
