As a whole its a dissatisfaction with business as usual with both parties over the years. Perhaps you'll notice that your statement is contradictory.

The Teas aren't particularly astute in their take on government, and certainly not enough to pinpoint any fallacies. They have no real positions on most things, and those they have are naive and impractical (as the GOP has had to explain to Tea freshman in Congress). They are just unhappy, and their awareness of its causes is fuzzy at best, flat out wrong more often than not.

And that complicates solving any of those problems.

Let me pinpoint some fallacies....As a result of the democrats and a whole lot of the republicans the US is 14 freakin trillion dollars in debt with the clock still ticking away while inflation looms over us. Social program entitlements are insolvent and need some attention they have not yet received.  Many of our institutions are corrupt with rampant waste and fraud just to name a few. Where is that flat out wrong ? What exactly is naive and impractical ?
