You all think this is an important issue in the punishment phase ? They do it in the actual trial phase. I have seen it, on TV believe it or not.

Keep scratching the surface. You'll get to the bottom of this about twenty years after we all die.

ETA : I forgot all about this. I have had some tickets, some of them DUIs so I have had to go to MADD meetings on accasion. The broad gets up there with a fucking picture of her daughter, talking about how beautiful she was, and goes on to say that "She could have been an actress".

Do you have any fucking idea what might have happened if I had a gun at the time ? The most useless people in the world, getting by on their looks. But show it to a jury........... Stupid people get what they deserve, the rest of us are leaving.

I think the victim is considered when the prosecution is building their case. I think that is wrong, but the justice system has human beings in it, not robots
