ORIGINAL: Aneirin But here is one for you hunky, my cousin is married to a man who is I think sixteenth in line to the throne, he is no one special, got drunk with him a few times. yes for outward appearance. Nonetheless he is part of the nobility and could prbly get some seriously nice grants maybe a county or something. No one ever pays attention to a change in land lords if the price does not change and the checks are sent to the same place. lol public indifference has no bearing on legitimacy. Well, whatever you think, I would rather have my life than his, because of the born into expectation that is upon people in that situation I believe could be pretty difficult to live with, and more so the higher up the tree one gets, and that because of public oppinion. How would you like to be followed around morning, noon and night by the press recording ever move you make, can't be much of a life now can it ? What price freedom, is it better to be a nobody than a royal ? I certainly think so ! And if it can be difficult for kinky commoners in society, what hope those in high places, can you imagine if the media got a whiff of that ? But as many elsewhere in countries that don't have a monarchy, they seem to be interested in the royal family, I just have to ask why ? And say the ruse got out about what they are really upto, fact or fiction, it matters not when people have axes to grind, and say the monarchy got disbanded, what will replace them, for there will always be some who wish to slide into their slot, there won't be a hierachial place left unfilled, you know that don't you. But if not monachy, elite politicians perhaps....
