ORIGINAL: hardcybermaster She's happy with what she buys and no one can tell if it's a fake or not but I take on board what you're saying.....if something seems too good to be true etc I'll have a look at those usenet groups. Not a problem, HTH. And again, if you and she are happy with what you're buying as a thing in and of itself then fine. But if even one dollar/pound is being added because it's claiming to be something it isn't, then you're paying for something you're not getting. I had this recently when buying a large micro-SD card for my mobile - there were any number of eBay sellers claiming to "Prove" they were genuine cards, but if you know what to look for, and I most certainly do, all of them, and I mean every single one, was fake, either selling a lower capacity card as a 32 gig, or selling knock-off 32 gig tat as "genuine Sandisk/Decent Brand", and paradoxically, the more "warnings" and "how to spot a fake!" messages they had, the more crappy the knock-offs tended to be. In the end I had an epiphany, and realised that the guaranteed Amazon cards were only £5 "more", except in that case a) I could clearly see and later test they were genuine, and b) the small "extra" sum involved to get something good was worth it.
