Most things do not gross me out.  I am also willing to try most things twice (on the off chance that I got it wrong on the first try).

But eyeballs wig me out.

Sat down to watch "Saw II" today with a friend.  No, I have not seen "Saw."

In the first three minutes there was an eyeball scene.  Now. . . when I watched "We Were Sodiers" I had no problem with the scene in which the guys napalmed legs get pulled off. . . but for some reason, scenes with messed up eyeballs freak me out.

Similar reactions to a certain body part anyone?  (And no I do not mean the whole guy thing and their "family jewels")

Best,

LaMalinche

Oh, and that Chuck guy that wrote "Fight Club", he writes some really wiggy stuff. . . after that whole story about Bishop Gutfree (or whatever his designation was) I am not sure if I will ever eat calimari again. . . I need that like I need teeth in my asshole.

Yeah, eyes being poked, prodded or otherwise messed tend to result in a negative response.  There's not much else that has a similar reaction, although I do tend to convulse and foam at the mouth during Micheal Moore movies.

Heck, even minority report's eyeswap scene made me twitchy.

LOL....I have that same reaction.....and um....either you stole my dog when I wasn't looking or I have it's twin sister. Anyway, I would suggest that you guys avoid the movie "Hostel".....really gross eyeball scene.......

Eye scenes are really not easy for me to stomach. Several years ago, I was reading a bedtime story to my little guy. He was holding the book and for some dumb reason I didn't have my glasses on. Well, he accidentally hit me in the eye with the corner of the book... I never saw it coming. I have never experienced such pain in all of my life. The scratch on my cornea turned into a corneal erosion (not sure on the spelling) which means the cornea layer came away in that area.

That thing didn't totally clear up for almost a year. I had three recurrences of the erosion.

Eye scenes are not fun.

We've had both the lil furballs since they were puppies.  As the case is, the black one is quite zonked out on her pillow, and the yellow one is sunning himself on the deck.  Very spoiled dogs.

But yeah, I remember back in high school, when I got sucked into the drama department (classic high school mistake; joining somthing because the girl you hopelessly lust after happens to be part of it), whenever we had to do makeup, it took two people to do my eyelashes, one to hold them open, and one to actually apply the mascara, or whatever it was.  Heck, if I'd been tied up I would have been yelling a safeword.

This is exactly why I don't have Lasix surgery.

I'm with everyone on the eyeball thing. I'm so glad I didn't rent Saw II when I saw it in the DVD store!

I did rent "Wolf Creek" though.....and the scene where the killer paralysed one of the girls so she was "a head on a stick"........OMG!! Just the thought of being paralysed and aware of everything that is going to happen to you.......!!

Saw 2 is hilarious... the ultimate mind fuck... was a nice follow up to Saw, which was also fairly impressive, but then again, I also think that Vlad had the right idea when dealing with the Turks... *shrug*

I didn't think Saw II was anywhere near as good as the original, although the hand trap was rather ingenious.  The eyeball thing, though, is being blown WAY out of proportion in this thread.  It would have been cooler if the guy'd actually been successful in getting at the key, but just not quite quick enough on the lock.

For me, as far as Saw II,  it was the girl being pushed into the pit of needles...I like needle play....ummm but that was a bit much!!!!!!

Hmmm.... I think the toe smashing in "Payback" was pretty high on my list. I had to assist a vet in extracting an eyeball from a goat once... pretty ruff stuff... and eyeball stuff hasnt bothered me since.

Want some fun? Watch teh bootleg 'Broken' video for NIN.  Some truly sick and twisted things.  'Faces of Death' is always a fun series as well.  I always get the munchies, though, for some odd reason.

Faces of Death, I have not heard anyone mention that series in a long time!  Glad someone could watch it and have the munchies, I had to eventually turn it off, the puppies did me in.

Oh it is not just the eyeball scene in Saw II. . . I did not like the scene with Wesley Snipes in Demolition Man where he has the eyeball on the pencil either. . . or the eyeball removal scene in Minority Report, or the scene where Mel Gibson gets tape put on his eyes in Conspiracy Theory. . . for some reason however, A Clockwork Orange did not bother me. . . go figure. . .

Any other body parts people find disturbing?  Such as the scene in Phantom of the Opera (the one with the actor that played Freddy) where that guy is found skinned alive?

ChainGang. . . that was soooooo wrong. . . funny. . . but wrong.

Best,

LaMalinche
