I don't care who you are, what your orientation is, or any other silly thing.

When you call your man to say bring home pain killers, chocolate, and some other special yen and he does, no matter how inconvenient it is, you've got a keeper!

<---has a keeper and knows it. [:)]

Amen LP. You and Holly both hit the jackpot!

Lucylastic -> RE: A good man (7/13/2011 6:28:12 PM)

Raises my glass to the Keepers whoever and where ever they may be!

Rule -> RE: A good man (7/13/2011 7:07:37 PM)

Good for you.

I do hope, though, that the chocolate and respectively in that order the pain are not causally related.

I've been told that the nicest thing I've ever done for a significant other was to learn how to give a proper back massage. My girlfriend at the time had recurring back problems, so I bought a pretty in depth book on massaging and techniques and studied it, and was then able to give good to great back massages when she needed them.

LillyBoPeep -> RE: A good man (7/13/2011 8:17:59 PM)

hooray for those who have found happiness. ^_^

LadyHibiscus -> RE: A good man (7/13/2011 8:53:09 PM)

Huzzah!

LinnaeaBorealis -> RE: A good man (7/13/2011 9:03:08 PM)

I've found a few in my lifetime. Even though the original relationships have changed, I've kept the good men. My life would be so much poorer without them in it.

Arpig -> RE: A good man (7/13/2011 11:34:21 PM)

When the Ex was in the hospital after having our 2nd kid (C-section so she had a bit of a stay), she got a craving for KFC. She called me up around 9 PM and told me about it, not expecting any action, just laughing about a weird craving at an impossible to fulfill time and place.

Without her actually asking me to, and without saying a thing to her, after we hung up I went and bought her a meal and brought it to her in the hospital (You should have seen the furious glares I got as I walked down the hall with the aroma wafting into the rooms...[:D]).

I guess the basic premise of your thread is accurate, she did keep me around for six or seven years after that. [;)]

Amen to that!!!!!!!

My ol man lived with 4 to 6 women on a daily basis, so every week he got a "honey or Dad bring me chocolate/advil/tampons" call, big bad long haired biker that he was, he always did.

So LP, Mr.P sounds like a keeper to me!

ChatteParfaitt -> RE: A good man (7/14/2011 4:23:12 AM)

GreedyTop -> RE: A good man (7/14/2011 7:07:05 AM)

I'd happily attach myself to a man like MrP or Jim....

*wonders if either of them have identical brothers*
