You are right about the regulars. When you see the same people year after year posting evey waking hour then you realize this is a way of life for some and it is not something we need to actively get envolved with as it will simply lead to nothing good for you. For God's sake, some here have 15000 to 40000 posts, think about it, and when you scan their posting history it really is almost every waking hour. So, there is a segment of the population to whom the forums are vitally important for whatever reason, probably social or physical isolation. Now, that will not happen for most and their numbers increase year to year so it gets worse and that will just have to be okay because they will not change no matter who repeats your post and I've seen it repeated many times during the years I've been a member here. So, just pick out what interests you, post sparingly if you dare and try not to stay too long.

Others have explained to you, which should not need to be, that people utilize this site for varying reasons. YOU have no clue how often people post or why or how or when, so please stop making the assumption that everyone here is a social misfit.
Some of us have or had home based jobs and were able to log in more often. For example, I just changed jobs and will be starting a job in an office, so I will not be able to log in as frequently. However, no matter how many posts I have, I still have a life.
I think you should base your perceptions on quality of posts, not quantity. As far as new people coming or going, again, assumptions about why this happens are truly a moot point.
In your case, the hypocrisy of the matter is that you may only have 720 posts listed, but in reality, you have thousands of posts that were posted under someone else's name as a couple.
Additionally, in terms of quantity, you have been so verbose in your posts that if you cared to do the math, you would probably have about 100,000 posts based on words.
I know you were attempting to support the whiny OP but you shot yourself in the foot doing so.
