I disapprove of Obama, I am an independent, I will not be voting republican. Most indes that are extremely disheartened with Obama are far left of center.... I would not chalk those numbers up to a "win" for your side.... far lefties are never going to vote Republican....

I may vote for Obama if he stops kowtowing to the right wing, but he would have to move to the left... lots of lefties feel like me, but unlike me, they will probably vote for him, disapproving or not... the alternative is one that they cannot bear.

I was registered Green in Long Beach, but when I moved I switched to Independent...

Then again perhaps you wrong headedly associate "independent" as meaning "moderate"... that is not what it means, but political novices often get confused about these things

Polls give information about the voters but do not tell much at all about the subject asked. Yes, American voters are largely ignorant and there is no hope the economy will improve as the same corrupt  people are let to run the show. Here is an interesting recent quote from Ralph Nader: “You have millions of people who say run, run, run. Then you put yourself out there and find they are voting for Obama.”

Dont be ridiculous. Keeping the House and taking over the Senate are a mortal lock. The only issue is the Presidency and whether we start to get out of the mess Obama created or have 4 years of gridlock and stagnation.

Well if that happens, will we see 13 vetoes just as we saw from Bush when the dems took over both houses and tried to fix things 5 years ago in 06 ? I wouldn't blame him.
