Now I will answer yours even though you did not answer mine... you put a title on your post "LMFAO / takeninhand"... that denotes a little ridicule in my neck of the woods.. because if you are laughing your fucking ass off at someone, you are not laughing with them.

To subject someone to mockery or derision is the definition of ridicule, if that was not your intention, it read that way to me....but that is "how on earth" I came to that conclusion, which does not seem far fetched.

I can't speak for Julia, but I added an egg, some cornflour, and a dash of lemon juice, whisked the mixture thoroughly, then baked at 180c for 35 minutes.

In fairness and honesty, it isn't mine, as I stated at the time. Credit where it is due.

Also, in the interests of full disclosure, I will admit to defrosting one of the frozen uncooked examples this evening, and munching it in cookie-dough form.

And I don't have any form of sweet tooth. God alone knows what would happen if I did.

Since i just worked 21 hrs) but claims to be for god fearing christians who "hate the corporal spanking discipline" they must hand out, THAT i find hilarious..... Do you think they would approve of your bisexuality?

what is "blatant D/s significance?" do you seriously think BDSMers have cornered the market on or were somehow the originators of Dominant/submissive interaction? frankly, the Christian ideal of submission to your husband was around WAY before the little BDSM designation appeared on the map.

as imperatrixx pointed out, there are some pretty serious differences between you and a TIH person, beyond "omgz they're tewtally subz like me!!" TIH stresses male-female monogamy, marriage, and sexual exclusivity. do you believe in the overarching importance of any of those things? those are some pretty fundamental issues that's you're just sorta sliding over to justify your obnoxiousness. =p your lifestyle is only  like theirs in a very small way.

Have you any experience with the Christian religion? Many adherents of that faith believe a woman should be submissive to her husband. If you pay attention to the vows Christians take when they marry, women promise to love, honor, and OBEY their husbands. I have knee jerk reactions to the ways in which others choose to live, and sometimes that reaction is to find humor in it. At the same time, I do not laugh at people for experiencing life differently than I do, that would be wrong in my book, but I am a cultural relativist.

i don't really think of rape fantasies as a BDSM thing; vanilla women have them, too.
and a lot of BDSM erotica features random meetings by strangers, or toys like floggers and such, and it doesn't seem like TIH is about either of those things, so maybe that's what they mean by deleting things that are fit for BDSM sites.

they specifically advise against getting into situations with men who have more than one romantic connection with a woman, and they recommend that you meet the person's relatives and friends, and move very slowly, and it seems like they're hinting that you should avoid sex; again, a lot of BDSM erotica includes many of the themes that TIH does not support.

plus, if you look at the comments for that "when rape is a gift" article, there are comments by people calling themselves Doms, or by people who really disagree with the article altogether. so it isn't like the TIH site is preventing BDSM folks from interacting, and it also doesn't seem like there's a huge consensus on that issue for the people commenting.

Depends on where you live really. Where I grew up they still use "obey" and so have I when I was married. Now if you grew up or live in a more urban area you'll probably find that a lot don't use obey but the smaller towns and country people here do definitely still use it and would look at you very strangely if you omitted it.

It is the vows that are in the bible, and just because the weddings you have attended do not use those vows does not mean that there are not a significant number of people who follow that train of thought... man as head of household, man as spiritual leader.... etc etc etc.... those are the people that are attracted to Taken in Hand. There is a substantial evangelical movement in this country that believes in such things. I have went to churches that preached about woman's relationship to man, and her place in creation... do I agree with that worldview? No. Do I respect their rights to have that worldview without being ridiculed? Yes. As long as they are not trying to make me worship their god, I am fine with what they want to do.
