That is so sweet!!! When my daughter was growing up, we were pretty poor & my favorite presents from her were the ones that cost very little or nothing at all even. Those are the ones that you will remember your whole life.

I don't think I've ever bought myself something specifically as a birthday gift, though I have at Christmas when I was single. I grew up poor so I developed a habit of not paying much attention to my birthday so I wouldn't get disappointed. These days I get pretty much everything I want or need when I want or need it... so if I wanted to buy myself something, I wouldn't know what to get. I can't even think of anything to suggest Firm get me for my birthday, and we go out to nice restaurants all the time. [&:] So... tonight he's making me pizza for dinner... cause it's my birthday. [:)]

I do buy myself a little something... I'm a broke college student so it is usually just a little something like a book or magizine. I have also gone to a movie for my b-day or bought myself a nice dinner (well, at least what a broke person would consider a nice dinner) :) I think it's important to celebrate yourself and your life on your birthday. And to remember what you have to be thanful for.
