If by "I'm attracted to people's heads" you mean you are attracted to intelligence, then I believe the term you're looking for is sapiosexual

Unless you're like Ron, and then you're just attracted to anyone who will give you head.

Syl....I believe the proper term for that is mnottertailgetsblowedsexual...........

ty Greeds.  You're right.

I mean I lived with a gay man as roommate and we were best friends and My les housemate of 25 years ago and I still talk a lot and exchange Xmas cards and stuff.  Alas, Mark (my college roommate) died in the mid 80's.  If you have to ask of what, you've been living in a hole.

I find all these labels just cute (and sometimes not so cute) ways of dressing up genital fetishes, and about as useful as a fashion label.

I have no desire to devalue any one's choices, but if we're ever going to end marginalisation and oppression based on sexual/gender preferences, we really need to elevate our glances above the waistline.

Oh get your head out of your arse. Being bisexual/anthrosexual/whatever-you-want-to-call-it doesn't mean you're sophisticated, it just means you're fortunate.

Good Christ when did the Bisexual Ubermensch Project start up and why didn't I get an invite? The idea that you (we?) are somehow more sophisticated because we enjoy the attentions of all the various genitalia formations is laughable in the extreme. I'm not more open-minded than the average straight or gay person, I simply get excited over a wider variety of configurations.

To imply that someone who prefers the company of a single gender does so out of an inability to see past biological formations is to imply that they could simply realize how silly they're being and change their sexuality, which is an argument I think we've all heard before...

Holy kramolly! Don't be getting your undies in a bunch folks. It's just a stupid internet poll. Do you guys always take everything so seriously?

Please don't assume anything Cheri or I post is meant to be anything but silly fun. if we are serious about something we'll make a point of saying so first. if that disclaimer isn't there, assume we're mostly just goofing around.

We called the poll what we did because around here queer pretty much does mean gay, and also because it sounds better, I liked the alliteration.

As far as the Holy Bisexual lady, I happen to think that there really is only one sexuality, that we are all effectively bisexual, it's like a sliding scale and we are each somewhere along it. I don't think that your place on the scale is set either, over my life I expect to move around on it, at this point I'm pretty far over on the homosexual end of the scale, but I do on occasion find certain men attractive (take for example the guy on here called DarkSteven....isn't he yummy with that impish smile!!). So I really don't see it as an impossibility that I could be involved with a man at some point in the future, it's possible. I just don't think any of us is set in stone sexually, we evolve and change as we grow. Some of us will hardly change at all, and others will go all the way from one extreme to the other. That's part of the fun. fuck whoever you want to when you feel the urge to do so.

Now, enough of being unsilly, back to your arguing about things that aren't really important, do enjoy yourselves.

Welcome to the boards, girls. One of the first things to learn here is that people just won't behave the way you want them to. One time I started a thread that I thought was quite obvious in its stupidity & I got a page & a half of posts advising that I seek professional help before I finally got some advice I could actually use; in other words, something stupid as befitted the OP.

Straight so doesn't really apply to me, though I did answer it in the straight affirmative.
As for the OP itself, I enjoyed the post. It had me giggling, and made a routine poll fun.
Keep it up girls.

The problem here is that you're assuming it is a choice. And it isn't. Chemistry isn't something you can choose. You either find someone sexually attractive or you don't.

I'm totally straight. And I don't register other men as sexually attractive when I'm in a good relationship. So I haven't noticed another guy for eight years now.

I also don't marginalize or oppress others because of their sexual/gender orientations. Spending the better part of my life in Fire Island Pines prevents that kind of thing. But growing up in a gay community doesn't make me open to being gay, anymore than growing up in a bakery would magically teach someone who was allergic to cherries to order a cherry danish. In fact of the group of kids I grew up with out there, all but one were straight. The other is bi. The one thing I have noticed is that growing up in a culture where people changed sexual partners as often as they changed their shirts, we all grew up strongly monogamous.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is just not true.

I'm living proof that someone can start off not being sexually attracted to a person and developing that attraction over time.  "You can't choose who you love" is a nice tag line for the gay rights movement or anyone who wants to excuse their personal biases by saying "It's not my fault, I'm wired that way," but the reality is that it's not as cut and dried as you'd like to believe.
