Apparently there is a lot of unfounded things you post that you refuse to back up

Mirror mirror on the wall....

they are as independent as you are:

Benefactors and staffEarly on liberal and wealthy donors with ties to the Democratic party gave Media Matters $2 million, and according to Byron York, Media Matters has also received funding from MoveOn.org, and the New Democrat Network.[15][16][17]

In 2004 Media Matters received the endorsement of the Democracy Alliance. Though the Alliance does not directly donate to organizations, nor mandate members to donate to all endorsees, its endorsement of MMfA resulted in direct donations from Alliance members.[18][19][20] In October 2010 - six years after the Alliance's endorsement of Media Matters - a founding and continuing member of the Alliance, financier George Soros, announced his first direct donation - $1 million - to Media Matters. Soros said: "Despite repeated assertions to the contrary by various Fox News commentators, I have not to date been a funder of Media Matters." Soros said concern over "recent evidence suggesting that the incendiary rhetoric of Fox News hosts may incite violence" moved him to donate to Media Matters, which thanked Soros for announcing his donation "quickly and transparently." Media Matters retained its policy of not comprehensively listing donors.[21]

Former chief of staff to president Bill Clinton John Podesta provided office space for Media Matters early in its formation at the Center for American Progress, a Democratic think tank that he had created in 2002.[22] Hillary Clinton advised Media Matters in its early stages out of a belief that progressives should follow conservatives in forming think tanks and advocacy groups to support their political goals.[23][24]

Media Matters hired numerous political professionals who had worked for Democratic politicians and for other progressive groups.[25][26] In 2004 article on Media Matters the National Review referred to MMfA staffers who had recently worked on the presidential campaigns of John Edwards and Wesley Clark, for Congressman Barney Frank, and for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.[27]

This shows how much Fox News can mess up someone's thinking process. It reminds me of how Fox News commentators likened Murdoch hacking people with being the victim of hacking...

Guess what? There is a difference between receiving a donation and giving one for access... which is what this thread is about, giving political donations to candidates running for office....

Guess what - Murdoch hasnt been accused of hacking, anyone or any thing, it was one of his many businesses

Which he promptly shut down and apologized for

But then, your sources for news and information have never been anything to brag about so considering the source that lie of yours is par for the course

Therefore youre really not someone to be criticizing others' thinking processes, are you

His lieutenants have testified in court that they bribed officials, bought influence, and yes, even were involved in hacking before the laws against it....

Either you buy that Murdoch is too old to know what the fuck is going on, or he is in it up to his eyeballs.... either way, he needs to step down.

We are just getting warmed up with investigations on our own side of the pond... like how Murdoch strong armed a floor ad company out of business by hacking them and getting proprietary information.... which is illegal. Murdoch settled several lawsuits in which there was proof his company hacked other companies or individuals... tell me, after awhile, you see in some cases million dollar settlements and you do not know wtf is going on in your own company... systemically I might add. I don't buy it for an instant.

Heads are going to roll....

So, can I safely assume that you are going on record agreeing that if anyone in government does anything wrong, Obama needs to step down immediately?

Theres apparently a lot about Media Matters and George Soros you dont want to know.

...and you are going to point that out to us just exactly what that is...right ?

The Downing Street memo were minutes of a British secret meeting with the US (dated 23 July 2002, leaked 2005) which include a summary of MI6 Director Sir Richard Dearlove's report that "Bush wanted to remove Saddam, through military action, justified by the conjunction of terrorism and WMD. But the intelligence and the facts were being fixed around the policy" This was called the 'smoking gun' concerning W. Bush's run up to war with Iraq.(2005)[60]
  • Yellowcake forgery: Just prior to the 2003 invasion of Iraq, the Bush administration presented evidence to the UN that Iraq was seeking material (yellowcake uranium) in Africa for making nuclear weapons. Though presented as true, it was later found to be not only dubious, but outright false.[61]
  • Coalition Provisional Authority Cash Payment Scandal; On June 20, 2005 the staff of the Committee on Government Reform prepared a report for Congressman Henry Waxman.[62] It was revealed that $12 billion in cash had been delivered to Iraq by C-130 planes, on shrinkwrapped pallets of US $100 bills.[63] The United States House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, concluded that "Many of the funds appear to have been lost to corruption and waste.... Some of the funds could have enriched both criminals and insurgents...." Henry Waxman, commented, "Who in their right mind would send 363 tons of cash into a war zone?" A single flight to Iraq on December 12, 2003 which contained $1.5 billion in cash is said to be the largest single Federal Reserve payout in US history according to Henry Waxman.[64][65]

  • Torture: Top US officials including George W. Bush [69] and Dick Cheney [70] authorized enhanced interrogation techniques of prisoners, including waterboarding (called torture by many) by US troops and the CIA in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere. In 2010 Bush stated "He'd do it again..." and Cheney stated on ABC's This Week, "I was a big supporter of waterboarding." [71] (2004)
  • Plame affair (2004), in which CIA agent Valerie Plame's name was leaked by Richard Armitage, Deputy Secretary of State, to the press in retaliation for her husband's criticism of the reports used by George W. Bush to legitimize the Iraq war.[72]
  • Thomas A. Scully, (R) administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), withheld information from Congress about the projected cost of the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act, and allegedly threatened to fire Medicare's chief actuary, Richard Foster, if Foster provided the data to Congress. (2003)[73] Scully resigned on December 16, 2003.
  • NSA warrantless surveillance – Shortly after the September 11 attacks in 2001, President George W. Bush (R) implemented a secret program by the National Security Agency to eavesdrop on domestic telephone calls by American citizens without warrants, thus by-passing the FISA court which must approve all such actions. (2002)[74] In 2010, Federal Judge Vaughn Walker ruled this practice to be illegal.[75]
  • Kenneth Lay (R) a member of the Republican National Committee, financial donor and ally of George W. Bush and once considered a possible Secretary of the Treasury. Lay was found guilty of 10 counts of securities fraud concerning his company Enron, but died before sentencing.[76][77][78][79][80]
  • Janet Rehnquist (R) appointed Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services by George W. Bush. In 2002, Governor Jeb Bush's (R-FL) Chief of Staff Kathleen Shanahan asked Rehnquist to delay auditing a $571 million federal overpayment to the State of Florida. Rehnquist ordered her staff to delay the investigation for five months until after the Florida elections. When Congress began an investigation in to the matter, Rehnquist resigned in March 2003, saying she wanted to spend more time with her family.[81][82][83][83][84][85]
  • John Yoo (R) An attorney in the Office of Legal Counsel inside the Justice Department who, working closely with vice president Dick Cheney and The Bush Six,[86] wrote memos stating the right of the president to –

  1. suspend sections of the ABM Treaty without informing Congress [87]
  2. bypass the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act allowing warrentless wiretapping of US Citizens within the United States by the National Security Agency.[87]
  3. state that the First Amendment and Fourth Amendments and the Takings Clause do not apply to the president in time of war as defined in the USA PATRIOT Act [87]
  4. allow Enhanced Interrogation Techniques (torture) because provisions of the War Crimes Act, the Third Geneva Convention, and the Torture convention do not apply.[87]

Many of his memos have since been repudiated and reversed.[87][88] Later review by the Justice Department reported that Yoo and Jay Bybee used "poor judgement" in the memos, but no charges have yet been filed.[89]

Because of no pattern of corruption and lawlessness of these republican goons and thugs, that one controversy for which he was never charged here or there would not indicate a pattern either.

How exactly did Obama "anoint" Geithener? He was approved by the Senate on a 60 to 34 vote. They all were aware of his tax problems.

Who anointed you with such vast ignorance?

The real question is how 10 R's voted yes and how long their careers will last.

Geithener came in at the end of bush to deal with the bush disaster.

He didn`t create it and wasn`t a part of the bush admin during alllll the years it took for them to tank our economy.

He was the special opps guy who was the one of a few people had the stones to keep our economy from completely collapsing. He was the guy bush HAD to bring in,and never would have on his own.

He was part of the group who came up with the bailout ,TARP,nationalizing some of the biggest banks and folding many others.

He`s not a bushie,in the sense that he`s not a bush lackey or brown noser or cool-aid drinker.

He`s about as competent a guy as we could have in that position. That`s the reason why bush DIDN`T have him or people as good as Geithener, because bush valued loyalty over competence.

Geithener was brought in as the bush antidote and President Obama recognized Geithener`s talents and kept him for that reason.

The analysts who claim Obama is another bush b/c he kept Geithener are simpletons.

Like Robert Gates, the president kept the people who were competent and worthy of the task from the bush admin.

Soon,we`ll have CIA director Petraeus taking over.I couldn`t be happier.
