Here in the Midwest, we've had record heat, and we're not the only ones.

Ha! In answer to your question yeah it's really hot hear and tomorrows forecast is 44C including humidity.

and yeah, we're getting excessive heat warnings here. some rain is supposed to come through over the weekend and possibly cool things off *i hope i hope* -- it's not as hot and humid today as it was yesterday so i'm hoping that's a good sign for the rain. even though the river's flooding, that contaminated water does no one any good.
it's so hot, the roads are buckling up, which makes the already shittastic roads here even worse. =p

No AC where I work so I'm dripping sweat on the keyboard.

My plans for this evening are simple. As soon as I get home I'm going to:

Crank the A/C up (fuck the electric bill).
Spend ten minutes under the cold water in the shower.
Sit my naked ass on the couch and smoke a doobie while wolfing down some Ben & Jerry's Chubby Hubby ice cream and watching my Battlestar Galactica DVDs.

It's usually 120+ here on a daily basis. The wind hurts. We got some humidity last week, it was like walking through hot water. It might have cooled down to 110 or so. I'm about to go up into N. Iraq, it'll be nice and cool up there, haha.

A soldier I'm helping support over in Iraq wrote to me yesterday to say that it has gotten as high as 134 degrees and the low has been only 104.

Feel free to stick that sweaty foot up my ass if I ever again sit in my air conditioned living room in the comfort of my home and complain about a few days of heat.

And I LOVE Chubby Hubby - favorite ice cream ever.
