I would hope by the time a person is an adult they'd know if they were allergic to something as common as garlic. But sure, you could just touch it to the person's anus or prick them and touch it elsewhere as a test (heck, just touch your hands to them after handling the ginger -- if you don't wash your hands after just handling the garlic it'll burn anything sensitive you touch).

And of course everywhere I said "garlic" i meant ginger. Teach me to write replies half-asleep...

reading this has made me really curious and while part of me wants to suggest it to Sir another part of me wants to go hide the ginger lol

Here's how that works.. you suggest it to your Sir.. and he finds a place to hide it.
