The University of Wisconsin at Madison has a dairy farm with the actual milking and processing and such "touching" the city. Not a long drive from my sister's house. We ALWAYS stop there for the freshest, richest ice cream you can imagine....

Homemade:
banana yoghurt soft serve,
dark chocolate with rum and walnuts,
pineapple strawberry sorbet

Street:
a small local chain called Minini makes the best italian gelato ever. Almost all varieties taste awesome.

Supermarket:
B&J makes a dark chocolate variety with gobs of caramel sauce and little pieces of chocolate truffle (forgot the name)
or their New York Super Fudge Chunk,
or Half Baked

And now I am going to do my civic duty and take my boys out for a sundae.
