Stupidity is a world wide epidemic.

Yep, but sadly it's one of the markets where America is still competing strongly as well...
(Mind you, Berlusconi is probably an even bigger tit than caribou Barbie, and the Italians actually elected him, so things could be worse.)

Well you'd be wrong Fast Eddy, as usual. You see, given that the basic function of the POTUS is to orchestrate the calm and uninterrupted continuation of the sucking of that corporate dick, yes it is relevant experience.

Yeah, we found oursleves in the same basic situation as our Southron friends are now facing: the lack of a viable alternative.

I mean really now, 350-some odd million of you bastards, and these guys are the best you can come up with???

A sad, sad time for the Republic.

That is unfortunately the closest ever to come for anything "artistic.".

The spirit of "self portrait" in  this case coming as close as the poor guy can ever get concerning anything resembling the arts there.

Give pigpoke  a break there.

Keep trying there Fast Eddy, one of these days you'll actually manage an insult that isn't quite so utterly laughable. But thanks for the chuckles, watching your inept efforts at rational thought is cute, sort of like watching toddlers playing at being grown ups.

It's not a virtue, but good gawds we certainly ARE stupid. We are so distracted, myself included, in this damn debt ceiling nonsense we are failing, miserably, on calling out the bozo's in Congress for not doing what they should be doing which is creating fucking JOBS. Not one job bill. Not a single one. Create jobs and a huge portion of this mess will go away as more US Americans will go to work and pay some taxes.

What a novel fucking idea. I wish someone, somewhere would think of it. I swear that if I had the brains that god gave a turnip, I'd run for Congress myself but I think you have to be at least artichoke level to get the nod from constituents or at least be able to lie well enough to convince them you're an artichoke and not a turnip. ::sigh::

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A JOBS BILL. THE GOVERNMENT CANNOT CREATE NET JOBS.

LOL, I don't get upset by you Eddy baby, I just enjoy poking you because its such fun to see you froth ineptly and try so hard to appear erudite while you mangle the language into nearly incomprehensible forms.

It's better than eating an ice cream sundae.

Well anyway, I'm bored with you now, so I'll leave the general audience in your less than capable hands, Fast Eddy. Do practice up, maybe next time you will provide me with more of an intellectual challenge than farting would, though I wouldn't count on it.

Semantics. The job of congress is to make laws. They need to make laws which will allow company's to grow their business and get rid of laws which do not promote that agenda. That, holding the purse strings and declaring war is their function. What do YOU think Congress is supposed to be doing right now? Arguing for months on end to pass a fucking bill that is already DOA? What a fucking waste of time.

Wow...Fight is a self determined intellectual, I guess.  I'm sorry, Fight, a lot of what you say comes across as stupid to me and totally void of common sense.  I'm sure you feel the same about me but there is something very simple about realizing that life is about self-determination and people have to be responsible for their acts and omissions.

I will say this, the arrogance of liberalism/intellectualism is its own special brand of stupidity and ugly self-righteousness.

How about if I add that your constant rants are there own special brand of stupidity and ugly self-righteousness.

That actually has been done in the past, though I'm not in favor of it now.

But how 'bout that 'deregulation smack down' of 8 million jobs all at once?

Yeah buddy!

No problem.

I understand that different way of thinking might cause difficulties for some, but such obsession and hostility as repeatedly evidenced here by your avid attention is not common.

I apologize for misunderstanding your intent, though, if by a jobs bill you meant bills that get the government out of the way of business.

However, its much more than semantics, it is the fallacy that underlies liberal half-Keynesian thinking. Allowing the Pelosi's of the world to claim without rebuttal that the stimulus bill created jobs, or that unemployment benefits are the biggest economic stimulus is very dangerous.

I was against the stimulus and the bailout. I thought I made that pretty clear on the forums at the time and I know that I have a bad habit of ranting on and on about how useless and gutless Congress is but, like I said.. I don't have the brains to come up with the stuff we need to do. We were all promised, as US American's, that they were going to tromp into Congress if they got elected and create some jobs for us. That was 'why' they were elected. Remember? Because the other guys from 06 didn't and the guys before that.. didn't.. and the guys before that.. didn't. Looooong record of gutless there.. long record.

I don't know 'how' to create jobs but I do know *for sure* that the guys that are making all that money.. the rich guys.. they certainly have the ability to create jobs because they ARE creating jobs. The problem is, they are creating jobs OUTSIDE of our country! I don't know what it's going to take to get them to create the jobs inside the country.. that's why I hire the supposedly smart guys to do that.. and they ain't doing it and they said they would.

So, I'll re-phrase my rant.

Congress needs to pass laws that entice the rich guys to create jobs HERE instead of elsewhere.

Now.. get 'er done. Make it work. What the fuck ever.. just fucking do it and quit spraying my flabby ass with pink sparkles that distract me, damn it!

Better?

Perfect! And in 2013, after hopefully electing a POTUS (likely) and unified Congress (a near mortal lock), the real work can start.

I'm guessing you can't actually support that BS with anything even remotely resembling facts?
