Angel, Forgive my switching the order of the last paragraph and sentence but there are a few other things: quote:
ORIGINAL: barelynangel Anything else angelikaJ? There is a lot going on in this thread of which i can comment upon. You don't have to like it. You can apologize to her, but i don't have to because i am not telling her anything that is wrong and i am not going to advocate her illegally copying and distributing movies or believing that she can do an endrun around the TOS and Agreements so she can have movies for free instead of purchasing them through the proper venues. angel quote:
ORIGINAL: barelynangel Well fuck DBG did you BOTHER to read your Customer Agreement and TOS: NOW unless if i have completely misinterpreted these Sections and what they mean by THIRD PARTY CONTENT when it clearly identifies same as "televised programs," DIRECTV has a very clear policy on reproducing and redistributing etc. This means that unless the program you are copying onto a DVD falls under "fair use" or hell i will even give you a written persmission for every show you copy to DVD indicating that you can, what you are doing is ILLEGAL!!! AND in violation of the company's polies and customer agreements. You are so desperate to get something without buying it and arguing what you are doing is legal and your company LETS you do it, that you don't bother to read the agreement? angel quote:
ORIGINAL: farglebargle Fair Use, is by definition, Legal. Non-commercial Home Use Only has long been considered as Fair Use. Panda tried explaining it earlier. dbg only made 1 personal copy. She obtained that copy through a service that she is paying for as opposed to stealing it off the internet. Sounds like Fair Use to me, which is legal. I apologised to dbg for 2 reasons. 1) One of my responses contained a statement that was unkind. 2) I admit I don't know everything. quote:
ORIGINAL: barelynangel So i know you like to get passive aggressive snarky with me Anything else angelikaJ? angel That is projection on your part. You are the one who 'yells' in your posts, and often writes them in such a way as to belittle people; to condescend. That may not be your intention but it is how they come across, and I am not the first person to mention it. I want to remind you of something: there is something that some posters do with your nic either knowingly or not that bothers you. I read how you preferred to be called back when you posted it in your sig and I read when you asked posters not to in posts. I have never called you by that other name, unless it was by accident before I was aware of your preference.
