ok, what i dont get is where the child porn charges came from? I thought you had to be of legal age to have a facebook account in which case any of the pics should have been of adult women. Or was that stuff from the cops going thru his computer and finding it from some other source? I have always had security answers that beared no relation to the questions so pretty hard for someone to guess them...

they might have. just because its not in the story doesn't mean they didn't. besides, pictures of your kids in the tub is pretty fucking normal, at least it was when i was a kid. my folks had some. you know the sort, where you have a fake beard of bubbles or some such cute assed baby shit.

the pictures he had didn't come from facebook; he emailed out things he found in email accounts AFTER trolling facebook to get information to guess passwords. so maybe he found it in someone's email; you'd figure that person would be charged, too. OR he just downloaded it from elsewhere and sent it through another person's email to humiliate them (supposedly that's what his evaluation says his motive was).

true, and it does say the fucking pics were ones the women took of themselves to send their boyfriends, so if he hacked accounts of women under 18. a LOT of girls do that shit these days, well before the age of consent.

falls down laughing Most of this always seemed obvious to me, but a lot of people really don't think about it. Once when I was with an ex as the answer to the question "where did you meet your spouse" I put in... In the void between [insert his ex wifes name here] ears. No spaces and a few numbers and things thrown in for good measure. I do have to agree with term though on the whole keep your important stuff off the net thing. I have a load of fb(facebook) friends that do things like post pics of their kids in the tub, or running around naked at grandma's. A few of them are also silly enough to think that if they close their profiles to anyone but friends then their info is safe. Which is untrue by a very long shot. Just last night I had to explain to a friend(of college age) why he may have gotten turned down for a job with a gov. agency. Hello nit wit you have pics of yourself half naked on your fb with your underage girlfriend. Whats that you say it is closed to everyone that isn't a friend...umm you do know under the patriot act that a gov agency can take a look if they feel like it right. What you didn't know that. Ok go back to college now they shouldn't give you a job anyway. Oh and as a kicker for everyone that is safe, sane , and just a tad paranoid...you also know that even if you don't have an acount on something like fb and a friend of yours posts a pic of you, and is stupid enough to put your name on it, then people can search (and find) you that way too.

Another thing that can be done with passwords is to transpose letters or replace letters with numbers and symbols (if symbols are permitted).

FR Tarnayshun, there are about a half dozen explicit pictures of me on the net. I have no idea what fucking purpose faceplace or whatever serves. I would'nt put a regular picture there. I did here but people kinda hafta look for that. Facespace, mybook and all that shit, what the fuck does it do for anyone ? I can think of a few ways to steer the conversation in that direction, were I so inclined. For example start a seemingly innocent discussion about genealogy and claim to be of Danish descent. Inquire if anybody else is, and when you reply that you are, I then innocently inquire as to the family name, to see if there is a long lost connection. It not being your actual surname, the odds are you would reveal the name without too much worry. And BINGO. One down, one to go. See, it's not really that difficult.
