I guess it is what you're using it for. I used it as a dating site initially. Now I use it as a messaging interface between me and online friends. I also think it's a pretty decent kinky discussion forum. It has it's place on the online kink world. I tend to go to fetlife only occasionally, and that's usually to keep up with what's happening in my local area. The discussion forums are not really to my liking. This is the place I feel more at home - it suits my needs.

Im gonna go with OldHen:) its home, or at least the forums are, I spend more time here than I do any other site, infact it could almost be an addiction. I dont use it as a dating site, its just the forums and the people here, I learn I laugh I get peeved... I work in the adult industry and its a niche, but I wouldnt call it a porn site. Adult only, yes, porn included but not required. of course someone who isnt in the industry would prob call it porn, and I wouldnt fight over it.

I do believe I am addicted to the computer and the internet, but as its my business as well as my pleasure, Im quite comfortable with that,:) its not something I feel ashamed of, my family are grown n doing their own thing, im preparing to be an empty nester soon. Forum friends (of which DarkSteven is one.) And I have my Fag Hags. And I've met r/l a few from forums and a few from personals side. And there's this one boy that just (3 days ago) contacted me on "other" side.... and well.... we'll see how it goes. And I'm pretty sure he doesn't even know this side exists. AND I'm leaving it that way. LOL! He joined, looked for "gay Masters in Denver," and guess whose name popped up? So, CM is (to me) the usual mix of forums, friends, and dating. Oh, BTW, I do NOT have a FetLife account. Really, CM is so addictive that anything else and I'd probably starve to death. LOL!

Frankly, I think the forums are a little too uppity in that area and a little more free porn in our posts could go a long way. CM the other side is a personals site, I suppose, though most everyone I've corresponded with has turned out to be a HNG (I learned that term this morning.) Not including the people from the forums, of course. The forums are what I do when I wake up at 1 AM, or what I do when I am watching TV on the couch with my laptop next to me, or what I do in between stirs of the sauce when cooking dinner, or what I do at times like this when I'm awake, but really not quite ready to get out of bed yet. A nice deviation and usually something interesting to read. I don't go to any other sites like fet or alt, and I don't post on any other message boards with any regularity - every once in a blue moon I'll go to a vegetarian site. And, um, Facebook, of course, is my other forum.

To me, porn is explicit sexual material -- CM is not a porn site in my eyes. It's a dating site wherein some people attempt to entice attention from others by posting sexual pictures or if you are on the message boards an entertainment site lol The ads and the full genital pictures make it a little more riske` (sp?) but they aren't explicit enough to be porn to me. Now if you click on the ad and it goes to another site, i would say those are probably porn sites. But i could see how some people may think with the genital pictures and ads it may be a porn site. I can tell you this -- i won't come to collarme from my work computer because of the computer policy. I would think an average person who wasn't as used to CM as i am may agree its a soft porn site. But i guess you also have to look at the motive of people coming here -- is it to view sexual pictures? I don't really think that is the majority motive for most. angel angel
