We are republican, gun-toting, Christian, conservatives who spend Saturday night beating each other and Sunday morning in "our" pew at church

Status: offline 		Presumably a different arrangement to yourself but someone told me cybelian marriage vows were like traditional marriage vows but the power differential relating to obedience was intensified for the male submissive partner so maybe you could consider a sort of similar approach for yourself but from a male-dom perspective.

Just a thought that came to me after coming back here to read updates....

If you are getting married..yeah, write your own vows. Reading what someone else wrote for you won't really mean anything to you. They'll just be words. Write what comes from your heart...but appropriate for all to hear unless only bdsm people are going to be present.

That was before we found out my health insurance will be cancelled less than a month after major surgery. Unfortunately, our financial aid will decrease but he has employee health insurance and I don't. As long as there's no lapse in coverage, they can't refuse to cover a pre-existing condition. We've been engaged a long time. We just decided to marry sooner rather than later due to health insurance issues.

Something symbolic of the dominance/submission dynamic in the relationship may be key to a ceremony although it doesn't have to be very overt, perhaps something especially meaningful to yourselves.
