So predictable that the first 3 responses would be from people on ignore. And I'll lay 10:1 they are all without content and ad hominen attacks.

I figured it out... This is the key to how wilbur exists here!

He only has popeye and some other fat right wing goof (so many to choose from) not on block.

He thinks that everything he posts is accurate and brilliant!

God, I hate fucking peekers, like wilbur. He is a very weak man. And A Peeker!

I guess that would depend on you actually trying to discuss something for a change.

But all you do anymore is post your rabid "I hate leftists" nonsense.

Well, we can discuss that on those threads.

I'm only referring to this one.

I never read his posts myself... they are not worthy of my time.

Yeah, the far right media is doing a much better job of misinformation and keeping the imbeciles on the leash:

I'm not a fan of inflammatory comments from news people or from people in a public office.  So I think they were wrong to do so.  I should point out that I would be considered a liberal by most.  I don't think, however, that Republicans are always wrong and that Democrats are always right.

I don't suffer from "one-true-way-ism".  I find it odd that in this particular forum, where people tend to feel that individuals should be able to form their own opinions and that there is no one "true way", are so hung up in their opinion being the only right one when it comes to politics and economics.

It's simple MB, the idealist are the only fascists of thought. It doesn't matter if you have an R or D next to your name, you are not a defender of liberty if you cannot tolerate (you don't have to accept it) anyone else's point of view.

But despite all that, you would probably find that some of these "one-true-way-ism" people, as you put it, are also somewhat militant about certain lifestyle choices, even when it comes to the lifestyle (Unless they are just forum trolls).

The saddest thing is that there is a media that would report any of these inflammatory comments without excoriating the individuals making them. While I understand no person or organization can be completely objective, the media, as a whole, has just given up even trying.

I dont think those that can recognize the difference between opinion and fact in politics are hung up on their opinion being correct, and that applies to both conservatives and liberals. The problem comes in when someone doesnt recognize the difference, or are intellectually dishonest in their support for their opinion. With regard to economics, which I agree cannot be totally divorced from politics, the understanding level here is generally not high enough for people to distinguish between fact and the opinions of those they choose to parrot due to similar ideology. Parroting is all they can do, due to their lack of or simplicyt of their understanding.

Were you to change "they" to "I" your post would make more sense.

It would be much closer to the truth too
"Understanding economics " means taking bets on things he gets wrong 99.99% of the time, LMFAO

Imagine if this had been a conservative newspaper, or Rush Limbaugh who did something like this - we would never hear the end of it.

quote:

Tucson Newspaper Political Cartoonist Fantasized About Obama Sending SEALs to Assassinate Tea Party Republicans

Today Tucson congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) cast her first vote since she was critically injured in a January shooting. You'll recall that in the weeks that followed, the media bemoaned the incivility -- supposedly predominantly conservative in nature -- of the political debate which had allegedly created a climate of hate.

But there appears to to be no firestorm over how, just last week, Arizona Daily Star cartoonist David Fitzsimmons fantasized about President Obama sending a SEAL team to assassinate Tea Party-friendly House Republicans.

Funny when the shooter's friend described him as "a left wing wacko" the press gave that a good leaving alone.
