Just as Bachmann thinks sustainability is a conspiracy, the lefties over reached with the incandescent ban/restrictions. The truth is certain bulbs like CFLs are full of mercury or other harmful heavy metals. They shouldn't be used in nurseries or around small children. They have to be recycled and handled like hazardous material when broken. The average consumer is unaware of those facts.

I wish people knew a thing or two about science and would stop politically reacting to every little special interest concern.

Explain to me how the average consumer is unaware of those facts when they have been well-publicized.

Does the average consumer actually follow the news? John Stewart and Colbert don't count---It hasn't been like the antismoking campaign which was/is in your face.

I know, becuase in my line of work, we sell these things and tell them about it all the time. 4 outa 5 times they are "like oh really." Most people just see them like organic fruit all warm and greeny and snuggly.

They are a good product, just be smart with them.

That heat is desirable for two thirds of the year in Northern climates, theyre even used specifically for their heat in certain applications

yes, traditional incandescants are going away. However nothing is preventing manufacturers from releasing energy efficient incandescant bulbs. BTW do you know how much energy is wasted as heat from a traditional incandescant compared to how much energy is actually transfrmed into light?

What?????....................

You keep falling off the deep end more every day.

Yeah I turn off my heat in the winter and warm myself by lightbulbs.

Your life must be miserable if you have to twist my words around like some deranged madman in order to get your crazy little jollies, so you have my sincerest pity

hill is wrong about the heat you get from incandescents as well. All heat rises immediately, so the heat you get from incandescents is directly comparable in efficiency with all other forms of resistance heaters, which is practically every electric heater available.

"According to Bachmann's latest campaign finance filings, her campaign spent nearly $4,700 on hair and makeup in the weeks after she entered the presidential race on June 13. Records show her campaign made three payments of $1,715, $250, and $2,704 to a Maryland-based stylist named Tamara Robertson."

Women can be so catty, which that can easily be one of their least attractive features

considering you squeaked like a little piglet about Michelle Obama eating too many calories, and buying two dresses for under a hundred bucks,  ...whats your excuse?

Um...so? Seriously who cares. Women wear makeup and get our hair done. The good stuff is expensive. It also said she usually does her own makeup if she had to pay for it bitch is a crazy homophobe who's probably the closest thing to sharia law the us has seen lately and you are worried she spends money on her hair?

Michelle Obama is a huge hypocrite

Like so many leftists habitually are

And so naturally, its a lot of fun to call her on it

Dont forget her renting out the entire Ritz Carlton in the South of France (or wherever it was) as her husband was preaching that we all have to sacrifice

Yeah well Bachmann claims to be a conservative Christian who can point out everywhere Mosaic law says its wrong to be gay but clearly missed the parts about women covering their hair and not styling it...hypocritical and all but I still don't give a fuck how much she spends on her hair.
