Some woman going on and on about the cost of another womans hair and makeup is catty

Pointing out a lpoliticians hypocrisy is just politics

Its no surprise that youre thoroughly confused though, rarely do you make any sense about anything you try to chime in on

That mother Jones article was written by someone named Andy.

Possibly a woman...but most likely a man. Care to retract your sexism?

Michelle Obama isnt a politician, you were whinning about her weight and looks, not her husband.
Um Michelle bachman is a politician, so its all fair in this time of "fiscal restraint" *snorts*.

I am sexist to the core and make no apologies for it

Many women are by nature very catty, many women revel in their cattiness

Why should I retract something that is the plain truth

Edited to add, I wasnt referring to Andy

yes, traditional incandescants are going away. However nothing is preventing manufacturers from releasing energy efficient incandescant bulbs. BTW do you know how much energy is wasted as heat from a traditional incandescant compared to how much energy is actually transfrmed into light?

The prob is, sanity, that they aren't all that efficient in converting electricity to usable (for residential purposes) heat either. Add that to the fact that light bulbs tend to be at the top of a room and heat rises and it's just not a good use of energy.
The only thing I can think of that is more inefficient is "ceiling heat" which was popular in the 50's/early 60's. All that did was make your attic hot.

Yeah, and not only that, his comment is pure asswipe at any rate.

Here in northern climates, we use infra-red heaters, if we use electricity for any heat. A fucking 100W bulb wouldnt keep a fuckin fly warm if they were crawling on the fuckin thing.

Works great in an Easy Bake Oven, though. My daughter had one when she was a kid.

I'd hate to add any actual praticallity to one of our debates here, but when I go into a new store, one of the first things I do now, is change the lighting. When I first arrived here, I changed all 450 of the 60 watt incandesent spotlights,(also got rid of the canisters, metal generates heat as well) to 23 watt natural light flourescent with a 9000 hour lifetime.(guess what Wil, I have yet to have to change them in over 1 and1/2 years)
Amazingly, it cut the energy costs(total electric, it is Florida) by a little less $1000.00 per month durring the summer time(less heat, less A/C costs) and over $700. 00 a month in the winter months.(23 watt vs. 60 in 450 bulbs)....Sorry guys, the lights actually work! The lighting is also more of a natural light for the display of the color of the fabrics on the upholstered goods.
Wish I could claim I was that smart and it was all my idea, but, I have a friend who is a lighting expert....of course I did take all the credit!....

Certain guys too.

Some even revel in it by having it as their avatar.

yeah i kind of figured you were referring to a woman direct-quoting a small fraction of what a man wrote as your proof that women were catty. that's why i called you sexist.

And I was responding to the person who originally brought up the topic of MB's hair - DomYngBlack, a man.

"According to Bachmann's latest campaign finance filings, her campaign spent nearly $4,700 on hair and makeup in the weeks after she entered the presidential race on June 13. Records show her campaign made three payments of $1,715, $250, and $2,704 to a Maryland-based stylist named Tamara Robertson."
