Which differs from Cameron's little clique smashing up restaurants when they were undergraduates how?

Moonie, I love you like a brother, but this class war shit is getting tiring.

If you really think a few Toffs smashing a restaurant and paying for the damage (as disgusting as that is) is the same as what has gone on this week, then there is no hope for you.

The only difference there is one of scale, surely?
(And, as you say, the social class of the ill mannered twats causing aggro.)

Hardly, old bean, drunken damage isnt the same as rioting and looting.  As for institutionalised racism, thats been long gone from the Met. Much has been done since the Brixton riots.

Quite. That's why there's been no trouble from stroppy minority groups throwing tantrums since the '80s.

That's what I meant by dealing with the next one. So you recommend just arresting who you can, and sweeping it under the rug. is that right? Just pretend it never happened.

no, I said it depends on what the govt thinks the underlying cause was. Imo, anyone that did damage, hurt anyone and anyone that organized the looting should be thrown in jail, period.

If there are other reasons after you throw the looting fuckers in jail, then the govt can determine what those were and deal with them, if that is possible. The govt is not the Good Fairy and able to instantly change whatever it wants with some magical wand...

It was noticable that most of those arrested during the riots over spending cuts were bored rich kids.

Poor old Cam is possibly traumatized, imagine it, he had to interrupt his vacation, but on the other hand nobody talks about his other cock ups (NOTW anybody) so maybe it's not so bad for him?

NOTW is another story, both main parties were caught up in that one. Davy boy has his hands full, especially with the debt crisis in the EU looming.

Takes me back a bit. I was working on the building site on the corner of Northumberland Avenue that was set ablaze. Thankfully most of the lads had gone home early as it was a saturday.

Probably a lucky escape: though you'd hope they wouldn't take issue with a building crew in the first place that's probably mindless optimism on my part.

Davey employed one of them and brought him into the heart of the government, which seems conveniently forgotten - after Brown I thought it couldn't get worse, sadly I was wrong...

There's time yet: just wait for the Clegg government after Cameron gets beheaded by a stroppy Caribbean...

Lets not forget red Ed still employs one in his office. Both parties are as bad as each other.

Well, that's the problem with British politics in a nutshell, isn't it? If labour had the balls to put an actual lefty in charge, at least there'd be an alternative.

I remember when all the party faithful were dissing Neil Kinnock as a sell out. They had no idea of the horrors that were yet to come, did they?

Hopefully one that'll be solved next election if labour can find somebody who isn't a joke...
Oh dear. I was forgetting.
