I don't think the sentence was stiff enough but, hopefully, he won't live that long anyway.

NOTE: Im not against his polygamy. I'm against him practicing it with preteen girls and other minors.

Anyone interested in the sect itself should read "Escape" by Carolyn Jessop. The link is a review of the book. I read it before before the community in Texas had all the women and children removed (only to be eventually returned). It was quite eye-opening and I have nothing but admiration for Carolyn Jessop.

Agreed. I've read this one, the one mentioned above ("Under The Banner of Heaven") and many more about these groups and polygamy in general. I actually just started a new one last night called "Secrets & Wives: The Hidden World of Mormon Polygamy" by Sanjiv Bhattacharya. I'm just a few chapters in but it's really good so far. I'm fascinated with these subjects and read everything I can get my hands on about it for sure......luci

The book I just mentioned above called "Secrets & Wives" states that Jeffs once said masturbation was second only to murder as far as its sinfulness. Let's see how he feels about that in a month, shall we?
