Why do they even call it a Poll....you have to pay ($30 per vote) to vote. They should just call it what it is, a fundraiser for the GOP Man do they have the people of Iowa fooled, Gee what state is dumb enough to have people come out and pay to vote???? Only 1 I believe Iowa and these people think its an honor to give money and act like the the dam thing matters to the rest of the country

You see what they show you. Mark my words, Ron Paul is never going to be President, audit the fed or balance the budget. Your chance to elect him ran out about twenty years ago. I like the guy except for his unrealistic position on abortion. Here I am on Sunday afternoon not having even drank one beer, going off. How can ANY MOTHERFUCKER on this planet support "OUR TROOPS" whose fucking job it is to kill people, but not support abortion and euthenasia, and in fact the death penalty. MOTHERFUCKERS send in troops to kill people who never did a fucking thing to us but won't give an axe murderer the chair ? Fucking hypocracy at it's finest. I would still vote for him if he ran. T^T

Ron Paul won't be the nominee. I like some of what he says, but then he opens his mouth and says stupid things like, "Who cares if Iran has nukes? Everyone else has them." He is a protectionist. He's so weak on national defense that a huge swathe of the Republicans and Conservatives out there just don't take him seriously as a candidate. That's probably why so many love him too, because they want to tear down the military and don't care about our foreign policy, only our domestic policies. But if you want to be realistic about who has a chance to win the next election, you have to have a tough stance on foreign policy, not a retreat and defense policy like Ron Paul has.

Here's why all leftists should support Ron Paul. Let's look at this pragmatically... Let's say that Ron Paul did get elected. His entire domestic agenda will be blocked by the republicans and democrats; he won't get anything through for his entire 4 years. However, as commander-in-chief he would have the ability to end these wars. This is something that only Ron Paul will do. No other candidate will end these wars. Anyone voting for a candidate not named Ron Paul is a supporter of war. If Barack Obama wins another term, then nothing will change. The republicans will block his entire domestic agenda, like they are doing now, and the war-mongering will continue. Obama will probably start more wars in the name of democracy, just like George Bush. Ron Paul will not. I encourage all Leftists to support Ron Paul, because ending these wars is by far the most important thing that needs to be done. It will save us trillions and the economic problems we are facing cannot be solved without addressing the Bushbama foreign policy. Any leftist supporting Obama in the upcoming election just hates the rich more than they hate war. Look at it pragmatically: Obama in 2012 = nothing changing domestically and nothing changing internationally! Ron Paul in 2012 = nothing changing domestically and the wars ending! Ron Paul 2012!

I do not think he will be getting into more, I think he has tried to get out, but the realities of just up and getting out in a specific time frame are unrealistic at best and Im a huge pacifist. Getting into more wars, just because he can, is really out there, and has NOTHING to justify it, no proof, even as a scare tactic. NO other coutnry can get out in the time frame he hoped for, he was over hopeful, what makes anyone think the US can or will is beyond ridonkulous

Since he took office, he's expanded the wars to include Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, and now Libya. Also, he's continued the war-mongering in Afghanistan and in Iraq, kept Gitmo open and - following Bush's footsteps, declared that inmates at Bagram have no rights. Your faith in Obama is misplaced. What evidence is there to suggest that he won't start bombing Damascus soon? He's already put sanctions on Syria and will come out and publicly ask Assad to step down soon. What's Obama going to do when he has another Middle Eastern leader telling him to stay out of the internal affairs of a Middle Eastern country. Obama invaded Libya under similar conditions (you can try to say that NATO did it, but you're not going to fool anyone with that logic). What's to stop him from invading Syria? This script is all too familiar. All you do is make assertions without any argumentation.
