I realize that for me to be Dominant and before I am worthy of being given control over another I must first learn control over myself. My chosen career has granted me the opportunity to control my baser instinct. Fear and the instinct for preservation of species has no hold over me. They are under my will. I spend my days 300 feet up suspended from a rope. Every time I crawl over the roof of a skyscraper it is an opportunity to exercise Dominance over myself.

How can one be worthy of the gift of submission if they are not dominant over themselves first? Everything in my life I put under control of my will. I am victim to none and no person has control or authority over me. True dominance is not just a sexual game, it is how you live your life. Am I worthy? You be the judge.

I am glad that is what works for you. BUT, you asked others to be the judge, so you may find some opinions and philosophies that differ from yours. So do keep in mind that other opinions and even judgments, are not necessarily an attack!

I will add that I do like your philosophy and believe that SELF control is essential, not only in the lifestyle, but in every other setting.

I don't believe being suspended from a rope way up in the air makes you in control of yourself. But that is just me.

While I can admire overcoming the fear of heights (terrified of heights myself), it doesn't prove your dominance. It's one facet of your life. It's the whole of your life that gives evidence of whether you're dominant or alpha.

Submission is not a gift. A gift is given with no expectation of anything except a thank you in return. D/s is an exchange of power. It flows both ways.

I couldn't make out from your picture if you are a builder or a window cleaner, but how does absence of vertigo make you dominant? I met a few pilots who happened to be submissive, so there goes that theory...

Dunno if you're worthy or not, maybe you should ask your submissive that?

As for no control or authority over you, a couple of people have pointed out that it's not quite so, or does being on top of skyscrapers make you completely independent of laws, tax exempt, etc? And if you travel and you try to cross borders, you will find that every country has the right to refuse you entrance, I'd say that is a fair bit of control and authority, I wouldn't recommend giving anybody at an airport or a customs officer that little speech, they don't happen to have a good sense of humor.
