Assuming I could still masturbate. I would hate to be orgasm-less for the rest of my life. Even then, though...serious consideration would have to be given to trade sex for my fetish. I don't think I could give the fetish up.

According to the DSM-IV-TR and proposed V, you're out of luck unless you're unhappy with your paraphilia

"cause clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning" (Criterion B)

I think it's funny that sadism made it into the first DSM but masochism wasn't recognized until the 80s.

My fetish is power. I've tried sex w/o power and ya know what? It's kinda drab, vanilla even. Matter of fact, I'd rather have sex alone (Hey, at least it's with someone I love), than have blah dreary boring sex.

My fetish, if masochism qualifies as a fetish. I read this question as, "If I had to have soft, painless sex forever OR if I could still get beaten but never have sex" which would I choose? A good session gives me almost everything I get from sex but not vice-versa.

I'd pick a kink (not my favorite word) based relationship that was really amazing (close, loving bond; friendship etc) without sex to a relationship that had sex without the kink factor.

Asking me to choose to have kinkless sex is like asking me to choose to eat peas or liver or something; it's not something I'm into regardless of the situation so no reason to opt for it at all.

Edited to add: Sex would only account for a certain part of living but the rest of the relationship would make up the bulk of life which to me means much more
