It seems that the most popular reason not to vote for Ron Paul is that he didn't proofread a newsletter. Hey Ron Paul is a gazillion times better than the inexperienced man/child occupying the seat. Not nearly what I want though. Newt is smarter than man/child by a long shot, but he (like man/child) know it and lord it over people. Newt won't be the nominee either. Who will be? I'll wait and see. I like a lot running on the R side. Oh, Palin? She's damaged goods. My biggest problem with her is she didn't serve the full term as governor. Better than man/child? Oh hell yeah.. a ton better. But we need better than that for president. I hope America voting for the black prom king is out of their system and they return to normalsville. Don't try and misrepresent my intent.

Your government has it's own issues.. Don't pretend like you don't have infighting and corruption. Your country was hit with some of the recession as well.

Also don't pretend that "we the people" want what you have. We can and have had what you seem to think you have now and we can have it again.

Also don't pretend that your country doesn't lose rights when you choose socialist programs.. You don't have much of a choice.. Can you opt out of the healthcare program? Uh no, it's illegal as far as I've read to do so. So there's one freedom you've lost.. You HAVE to do it their way.

You loose rights that an otherwise independently free person might have if you buy into government dictated anything. If you like it that way.. good for you. I don't want anyone telling me what i can and can't do, especially in my everyday life coming from governments. If I want to carry a gun, pick my own health insurance, smoke pot and fuck all.. That's what I want to be able to do as long as I don't hurt anyone else in the process.

As far as even keeled political debate you sure as fuck don't know what that is.

I don't, my leaders do and I'm looking for someone that doesn't want to either. We have no business in anyone's country unless it's absolutely warranted under an attack of us.

There are no problems with it... We liberated ourselves from a bunch of assholes and we did just fine for quite a long time.... some of the asshole mentality is back and has been for some time.. We've gotten away from what this nation prospered on and it's wanting to right itself through it's people.

You may think you understand what America is about but to me it's apparent you don't.

This nation doesn't want socialism and you're about to see that. It may have settled lately for it in many ways but watch what I say, a change is coming. It's starting to wake from that foggy socialist slumber of death.

Even if Ron Paul doesn't win and I don't believe that to be the case, for the future, a revolution has started. Many a ruling class have fallen during trying times like this and it takes these kinds of hardships to jar people from their naps.


In the weeks to come, you'll see him rise and you'll see them do everything they can to try and crush him. That includes ganging up on him as a team in the coming debates. Only problem for them though is that the nation is coming alive and is ready for someone like him.. We don't need socialism...We'll fix the problems without it.

I watched that video, it wasn't exactly the unequivocal retraction of those newsletter comments I had hoped for. He needs to unconditionally repudiate them and the ideas they represent before I would consider voting for him.

I'm not trying to convince anyone to vote for him on here.. Pa started a thread to celebrate Ron Paul.. I'm just having some fun and showing my support as well.

I think he has his heart and mind in the right place and would make a wonderful president... now he may or may not get people to work with him on some of the things he's talked about but there are many that he can do on his own. Maybe I'll get suckered but I believe that he'll do what he says and that's extremely fucking important to me. I can't convey just how important it is to have a political person working for what made this country great for a change.

That guy, I believe, is the real deal.

So I have lost the freedom to overpay for basic health insurance? That hardly seems like a freedom worth anything, let alone one worth even attempting to preserve. And for what it's worth, I am still free to overpay for supplemental health insurance.

You like socialism and the person that made a statement earlier about it, you attacked. The person made a valid point.

Why in the world would someone who thinks socialism is the shit agree with the type of system we have.

Personally I don't down a particular system..sure there are some I think that don't work very well but for the majority of them it's the people running the show that are the issues, not necessarily the systems. These are simple truths.

As for the thing you asked about "sane" examples? That's just silly.. I know this is a trap because you've already passed a judgement.. Health care was brought up so I explained it to you..but the things is.. If Ron Paul gets in.. I believe you'll see what freedom really is. It's coming.. wait for it..
