Do trash bags count?

They're just fixing their nests.

It does look drab when the newspaper yellows and cracks.    At least use fresh news papers!!!

worry about it? No...Find that they are needed for privacy issues? Yes.
Want them to match the interior? Yes. I  like things in my home to be cohesive and nice and curtains and/or blinds are part of that.

My trash bags match AND they provide a great deal of privacy. They are also recyclable.

i don't  "worry" over them, but i like to make or pick out nice ones in my budget that fit the "mood" or decor of a room.
i like to coordinate! it's fun! ^_^
making curtains is so much fun if you have a sewing machine, or even some of that iron-together junk. they take no time at all, and are just a nice mindless thing to do on an afternoon. =p
especially if you find cute $1/yd fabric. ^_^

Mine tend to match the furniture and stop people from looking in, I tend to throw them in the washing machine about twice a year. Does that count as an obsession?

This except, mine are often open because there is no concern of people looking in. I just think the windows look more finished with curtains than without. I do keep the bedroom curtains shut more than not to help keep the room cooler and darker. If it is really hot and sunny, all of the 'sun in' windows get the curtains shut until the sun moves. Curtains can really help keep your utility bills down.

Often without a curtain the window looks a bit bare and harsh

Worry, no.   Spend time finding the perfect curtain for a room...yes.   I like window dressing, and my preference is lots of lace and fringe.   Hubby said it's like living in a Bordello, but it's really Victorian :)

It is like doilies, coasters, knick knacks, plants, those fancy towels in the powder room you are not supposed to touch.

We, or at least I, like a neat, well kept, clean and tidy, attractive environment to live in.

Windows look bare without curtains, they match your decor and keep out too much sun, which can fade your furniture and carpet.

Worry? about window treatments? The two back bedrooms have pleated shades, the others have the windows with the miniblinds inside.

Since I live in the woods and have no neighbors, I prefer to do without. It helps bring the "outside" in, which is what I am going for in my home decor. So I guess I do worry about windows, since I put some thought into it.

I was always the same way when I didn't have neighbors. It was really nice too. I don't like wearing clothes so the neighbor thing could bring up "complications" for all concerned.

umm.. no i dont particularly worry about that, wringing my hands and all. Where i am right now is very temporary, it had a blind but the slats didnt close tight so i felt like i was in a bit of a fishbowl at night. Especially since i had a bad experience with a peeping tom a long time ago, it still bothers me tho.

So i went to the dollar store and bought a neutral plaid plasticy table cover and a pack of thumbtacks. $2... It looks fine, for now for here. I can even reuse it later as a.. table cover..

I have made my own drapes before, and roman shades, measured and installed my own blinds. I only clean windows when i have to..

2 of my windows have no curtains as they simply are not needed.    As a practical matter I use them to keep the heat, light out- or in.  depending.

to me, even if i knew i was the only person for 100 miles, i still want window coverings on, at least to make me feel like i have privacy. I was like that even growing up on the farm, it bothered me that the living room window had no drapes...
