Are you trying to argue there are no reasonable, objective criterion for what would constitute a good owner? As for the OP, as luckyalbatross used to say, don't seek a stable of partners, seek stable partners. Your identification of financial management as a necessary building block has you on the right track. I might add a few others, people skills and healthy self esteem. The ability to think independently and fairly. Track records are a helpful yardstick. If you want a LT relationship, it would be reassuring to know that your Domme had been in a relationship for an appreciable amount of time in the past. As a closing statement, I would say that an ideal owner has the capacity to understand who and what he "owns." Without that, she's grasping at straws -- and in the case of a relationship with you, probably missing the mark. I think some of the responders to you are confusing "yardsticks" with absolute truths -- overcompensating thereafter into the realm of unhelpful relativism.
