All right, then - back to the topic. Please cheer me up. I want to see comments along the lines of "Well, I used to be a bitch, but that was when I was angry about men, about patriarchy in general. Now I realise, fully, that I can do what I want to do. I know that every time I engage in a fight with a man, or men in general, my trek towards what I am stops, because I can't fight and carry on with my journey at the same time'. Honestly, sometimes, I do wish women would just get on with it, if they want to be dominants, if they want to take that power. Stop bleating, stop spitting and miaowing, stop fighting with schoolboys of the past or present (to reassure yourself, time and time again, that you can win such fights), and just get on with it.

Oh, hey, Lady Hib - and all - don't take my comments personally. It's not particularly directed at people here. I'm thinking of students of mine, but more so a couple of ex-partners. One partner in particular, actually. And women who want to be femdoms, but can't break the barrier. There's a point where the water's right there in front of us, and no-one's stopping us - but we, all of us, still ain't drinking. This is what I'm talking about. I've been doing A LOT of thinking about gender expectations, over the last 24 hours, because of a few different conversations. I think that, all too often, we handicap ourselves. Either through our conditioning as to what a man or woman 'should be' or, in the case of a few specific individuals I know, laziness and lack of motivation to take personal responsibility.
