Ahhhhhh, the good old days of Ed. I lived in Oshawa when he had his constituency there. With GM being such a large voting block, it was NDP all the way. I really did like him and his politics though. You could walk into his office, talk to him, not his assistant and you knew you'd get the answers you were looking for or the help you needed.

Good old Ed the Red! He was great. He was the same way when he was the Ottawa Centre MP.

He was just a regular guy, a really nice one who truly cared. Can't ask for better than that in a politico. 'Specially these days! Not may of 'em left.

No not many like him left. I suspect Jack was like that too, at least to a certain extent though I admit I don't know that much about him. I've been going through an apolitical period; I'm just so fed up with that bunch of them.

I've never had a political bone in my body. I was lucky with having Ed work in the riding I lived in at the time and having to go to his office and get the help I was looking for way back when. And I got to meet Jack Layton at my BIL's funeral almost 2 yrs ago. I'm sick of all of the politics, and piss my dad off to no end when I tell him that I've got food on my table, a roof over my head and gas in my car, then I'm a happy camper.
